Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chain with cam tensioners for your wide based tires on our 2020 Chevy Silverado. So we are going to have a ladder pattern style chain with cam tensioner. So it's going to be easy to get the right fitment for your guys is wide based tires, but ladder pattern, obviously we're just going to have chains coming across like this. Isn't going to be the smoothest ride compared to some of the other chains that have cross chains right here, just because there's going to be a little dead spot right here, whenever we're going down the road. So might kind of loaf over these chains and these are relatively big links. more

Adam: What's going on everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains on our 2020 Chevy Silverado.We are going to have a ladder-pattern-style chain, and it's all going to be made of a manganese nickel alloy steel, and it is going to be a case-hardened steel, so it is treated. It is going to resist against rust and corrosion, but also it is going to be wearing away relatively evenly because all of these square links are all the same size, about 5.6 millimeters. And this is going to be a little bit more aggressive chain compared to some of the more S-Class compatible low-profile chains, but we have plenty of wheel well clearance in the Silverado, so we're not going to have any issues hitting anything on the inside here, but it's definitely going to give us maximum traction compared to all the lower profile chains. The ones that'll probably be a little bit more aggressive than these is probably going to be the V-Bar style, but those are only for the really, really tough conditions that you guys may be in. But these, honestly, would probably still get you out of those tough conditions.What I really like about it is just the cam tensioners, just because we have a lot of different places to adjust, to make sure we get a nice and tight fitment. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chain on our 2020 Chevy Silverado.So these chains are going to be for your wide-based tires or even some of your dual tires. These are going to have a low-carbon construction, going to be extra hard, and they are going to wear away relatively evenly. It is going to take quite a bit, a couple of seasons, to start noticing that wear.These twist links are going to get a really good traction, but it's also going to be a little bit smoother than some of those big, chunky square links that you may see. As you can tell here, it is a ladder pattern style, so it isn't going to be as smooth as some of the less aggressive chains, but we're looking for the best grip, and these are going to give you pretty much one of the better grips of the more aggressive style chain, but we're still going to get a decent ride. So it's definitely the best of both worlds in my opinion.First thing we want to do is just lay out our chains, make sure there's no kinks in our links or anything like that. more

Ron here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Konig's premium self-tensioning tire chains on our 2019 Chevrolet Equinox.So here's what our tire chains are going to look like once we have them our Equinox. Now one of my favorite things about these tire chains is the fact that we're going to be able to put them on without having to lay on the ground and get behind the tire because a lot of times we're going to have to drape them over, lay down on the ground and make our connection points but with these, it's going to be a lot simpler and we're not going to have to be in the snow.The links on our chains are going to be D shaped, so they're going to give us excellent traction in snow and ice and it's also going to have these icebreakers here which is going to help break up that ice that's on the road and give us better traction. Now the chain part of our tire chains have been made out of a manganese nickel alloy, which means they're going to be able to hold up to all that moisture from the snow and melting ice and even the road salt, and be really corrosion resistant, so our chains are going to last us a really long time.Our tire chains are going to have a self-tensioning self-centering device built in. That way, when we're driving, we don't have to worry about the chains coming loose or getting those rubber tire adjusters that we've seen with some other style chains. And they are a great choice for if you live in an area where you're required by law to have a set of chains in your vehicle. If you live in an area or if you frequently use your chains for heavier conditions, we might recommend upgrading to a set of steel chains because you can use those a lot more and they're gonna last a lot longer.The steel rollers that are on the cable cross wires are gonna help out with improving your traction through any type of light conditions. When taking a look at these chains, the main use you're gonna get out of these is for those snow and ice situations, and a lot of that is because of the D-links and the diamond pattern with our tire chains here. If you wanted chains for white snow, you might wanna take a look at our other brands that have the rollers on them. One of the big bonuses about this tire chain system, it does have a self-tensioning system here, meaning as you drive it's going to self-tension and center around the tire so you don't have to worry about that, stopping and checking and make sure everything's working properly. Also it means you don't have to buy any aftermarket tensioners, as you would with other tire chains as well.These chains are designed to work with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance, and they are compatible with antilock brake systems. They do come with plastic bumpers, which we haven't installed for demonstration purposes, that snap to the chains around the tire to help protect the rim. more
