Speaker 1: Today, on our 2017 Jeep Renegade, we're gonna be test fitting the Thule Square Load Bar Roof Rack System, consisting of part numbers THLB58, these are the Thule square load bars, 58 inches long. And part number TH450, this the Thule crossroad roof mounted roof railing foot pack for the factory rate side rails.This square load bar roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your vehicle. It can carry bike racks, cargo baskets, cargo boxes, ski carriers, snowboard carriers, and kayak carriers as well. Square bars are made from a durable material, and the end caps here have knock-offs 00:00:37 at the end of them, where you can replace those with Thule lock cores, not only to secure it to your factory rate side rails, but also to make it keyed alike with your roof rack accessories.Both bars have a combined carrying capacity of 165 pounds, although you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand those weights.Now that we've gone over some of the features of the roof rack system, let's go ahead and show you how it installs. Yakima Roof Rack Installation - 2017 Jeep Renegade- Video

These are the Yakima JetStream cross bars, 50 inches long, and part number Y00147. These are the Yakima Timberline Towers for the Yakima cross bars, particularly for factory-raised side rails.The Yakima JetStream roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof or freeing up space inside your vehicle. Can carry bike racks, cargo baskets, cargo boxes, ski and snow board carriers, as well as kayak carriers.The bar has a nice, aerodynamic shape to it and that, coupled with the strip on the top, as well as the strip that goes underneath and is cut to length underneath, that's going to cut down the wind noise and drag while you drive.Removing our end cap, you can see that it does have a strip on the top that can be pushed down and you can use T-track accessories with this roof rack as well, without having to trim the strip in the center here.On the end caps here, there is a knock out which you can replace with the Yakima SKS Key System, so you can make not only your roof rack secure to your factory raised side rails, but you can also make it keyed alike with your roof accessories.Now that we've gone over some of the features of the roof rack system, let's go ahead and show you how it installs. Yakima Roof Rack Review - 2017 Jeep Renegade- Video

It can carry bike racks, cargo baskets, cargo boxes, ski and snowboard carriers, and kayak carriers. The bars are strong and durable, and together have a carrying capacity of 165 pounds, though you always want to double check with your vehicle's manuals to make sure it can withstand those weights. Also, if you wanted to cut down wind noise and drag with the bars, you can purchase a Yakima fairing, which you can find on etrailer.com.It's very easy to install. It simply wraps around your existing factory raised side rail, tightens down, and also tightens down to the bar as well. On our end caps here we do have knockouts for the Yakima Same Key System, which is sold separately, and once you install those not only will it be secured to your roof, but you can also make it keyed alike to the accessories for your roof as well. more

So you can carry bike racks, cargo baskets, cargo baskets, ski and snowboard carriers, as well as kayak carriers. The bars have an aerodynamic shape to them, and that coupled with the strip up at the top, that's going to cut down on wind noise and drag while you drive. Removing the end cap here, you can use this with T-track accessories and slide them in place and cut the strip to length to use whatever it is you need.This is very easy to install. more

Whispbar Through Bar Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be installing part number WB-S17. This is the Whispbar Through Bar Roof Rack Crossbars. In addition, we'll be using part number WB-K624. This is the custom fit kit for the roof rack system. This system allows the crossbars to custom fit in our Jeep Grand Cherokee.Speaker 2: Now, you'll notice that the Whispbars give you an aerodynamic design with a factory look. Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Jeep Compass- Video
Today on our 2014 Jeep Compass, we'll be test fitting the Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack System, using Part Numbers Y00409, Y00124, Y00699, and Y00634. With our roof rack assembled according to the instructions, we'll begin our test fit by opening both front doors. We'll grab our front bar and place it onto the front part of our roof. To make sure that our bar is in the right position, we need to measure 16" from the leading edge of the windshield to the closest point of the foot pack. We'll do this on both sides to ensure that our feet are in line with each other. We'll make sure that the clamps go around the roof line of our vehicle, and then we can use the thumb screw inside the foot pack to tighten it down and then close the lever. We'll do this on both sides to ensure that our bar is fully secure. We'll open our rear doors, grab our rear bar, and place it onto the rear part of our roof. And to make sure this in the correct location, we need to measure 32" from the center of the front bar to the center of the rear bar. more

Thule Podium Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Jeep Compass- Video
Today on our 2014 Jeep Compass we'll be test fitting the Thule Podium Roof Rack System using part numbers THLB50, TH460 and THKIT3097. With everything already assembled according to the included instructions, the first thing we need to do is remove the plastic caps which cover up the threaded holes. Along the flush mounted side rails, there are four sets of two plastic caps which thread in into the threaded holes. We'll need to unscrew them so that we can access the silver threaded holes. With this done, we'll need to place the front load bar onto the front of our roof. The holes in the rubber coated metal plate should line up with the holes in our flush rails. We'll need to take the Allen bolts to go through the holes of our plates and into the holes of our flush rails. more

Whispbar Flush Bar Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today on our 2014 Jeep Patriot, we'll be test fitting the Whispbar Flush Bar Roof Rack using Part Numbers WV-S6 and WV-K328. With the roof rack assembled according to the manufacturer's instructions, we'll begin our test fit by placing the front half of our rack onto the front of our load bars to make sure that our rail sits between the two lips of the clamp and make sure that our clamp goes around our side rails on both sides. We'll want to find a fixed point to use as reference. In our case there's an arrow here that we're going to use. We'll do this on both sides to make sure that our feet are in line with each other. We can then take the provided Allen key and tighten down the Allen screws on both sides securing our rack to our side rails. Now we're ready to move to the rear. more

Thule Loadbar Roof Rack Installation - 2011 Jeep Wrangler- Video
Today, on our 2011 Jeep Wrangler, we'll be test fitting the Thule Gutter Low Feet Roof Rack System using part numbers THLB58 and TH300. We'll begin our test fit by placing the front bar onto the front of our roof. Now, since our vehicle is equipped with a hard top, we'll measure from the crease, from the first part of the window to the roof back to the first part of the foot. We'll measure this on both the passenger and driver side of the vehicle to ensure the front bar is perpendicular to the roof. With the front bar in place, we can then take out our hardware and thread our bolt through the backside of the hole in the foot. We'll then place our black clip over the bolt, slide our washer onto our bolt, and then thread our black hand knob on. We can then tighten down the black hand knob to bring the clip up around tightly against the roof of our Jeep. more

Today on our 2008 Jeep Liberty well be test fitting the Thule Crossroads Roof Rack System part numbers CHLB58 and CH450. Well begin our test fit by placing the front load bar onto the front of our roof. This vehicle is equipped with raised side rails so well make sure that the distance between the connection point of the raised side rail and the roof and the first part of our foot is equal on both sides. We also want to make sure the overhang of the load bar is equal on both sides as well. Once weve established this position we can pop off the end caps to bring the rubber coated steel straps around the underside of the raised side rail. Well then hook them into the connection points and turn the black bolt to bring the straps up around each bar. more

Today, on our 2013 Jeep Patriot, well be test fitting the Thule Square Bar Roof Racking System, Part Numbers THLB50 and TH450.Now, before we begin our test fit, well first going to make sure that our feet are on our load bars. Well then place the front load bar on to the front of the raised side rails of our vehicle. Now, on this particular model, there are arrows indicating where the feet should rest on the raised side rails of the vehicle.Well measure from a fixed point on the first part of the raised side rail to the first part of the feet just to double check to make sure that its even on both sides of the vehicle. Once weve established this position on to the vehicle, we can bring the rubber-coated steel straps around the under side of our raised side rails and hook them back into position.We can then pull out the allen key to tighten down the allen bolts to secure the front load bar to the front of the vehicle. Well now place our rear load bar on to the rear of the vehicle. Again, there is an arrow on the raised side rails on this particular model indicating where the rear load bar should rest.Well then bring the rubber-coated steel straps around the under side of the raised side rails and hook them into position. more

Thule Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Jeep Patriot TH45050- Video
Today on our 2013 Jeep Patriot well be test fit in the Thule Complete Crossroad Kit with 50 inch Long Bars and Locks part number TH45050. Well begin our test fit by placing the frontload bar on to the roof of our vehicle. Now, there are cut outs in to the raised side rails of our Patriot indicating spots to set your load bar. Once our load bar is placed on to the specific cut out well double check and make sure on the passenger and driver side that the load bar is perpendicular to the rear side rails. Well then pull out the in caps to bring the rubber coated steel straps around the underside of the raised side rails. Well hook them back in to the bracket tightening them down with the Allen bolts until the strap is tight around the raised side rail. more

Rola Sport Series Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today on our 2013 Jeep Patriot we'll be test fitting the Rola Sport Series Roof Rack with RBU Mounting System Raised Factory Side Rails 51 Inches in Length, part number 59899. We'll begin our test fit by loosening up the T-handles at the ends of the brackets and place the crossbar onto the vehicle's raised side rails.Now on this vehicle there are arrows and notches cut into the raised side rails of the Patriot to assist you in setting your crossbars onto your raised side rails. We'll pick a location on the raised side rail to place our crossbar down onto. Once we've established this position we can then turn the black T-handles to tighten down the claws against the raised side rails.We'll then push them in and lock them into position. We'll then place our rear crossbar onto the rear of our raised side rails and measure the crossbar spread. The crossbar spread is the measurement from the center of the front crossbar to the center of the rear crossbar. more

Rhino Rack SXB Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today, on our 2013 Jeep Patriot well be test fitting the Rhino-Rack SXB Roof Rack for raised factory side rails in silver, part number sxb3-silv. Well begin our test fit by placing the front crossbar onto the front of our roof. You can notice that there are special cut outs into our raised side rails for ease of installation with your crossbars. Once weve established this position onto the raised side rails of our Patriot we can then pull off the locking end caps to expose the silver bolt on the inside. We will use the included Allen key to tighten down the bolt to pinch the claws up against the raised side rails. We will then repeat these steps for the other side.We will now set our rear crossbar onto the rear of our roof. more

Today on our 2013 Jeep Patriot, well be test fitting the rhino rack SXB roof rack for raised factory side rails 45 inches in length, part number SXB3. And well begin our test fit by placing the front crossbar onto the roof of our vehicle. Now on this vehicle there are notches cut out into the factory raised side rails to let you know where to set your crossbar or you can measure from a fixed point on the raised side rail to the first part of the claw on our rhino rack. We can do this from both the passenger and drivers side of the vehicle ensuring the crossbar is perpendicular to the raised side rows of our Patriot. Once weve established this position we can unlock the end caps exposing the bolt which well use the included Allen key to tighten down to secure the jaws to the raised side rails. Well then repeat these steps for the other side. more

Rhino-Rack Euro Square Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee we'll be test fitting the Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack with Euro Square Crossbars, part numbers ds1375b and dk234. Now to begin our test fit we've already gone ahead pre-assembled our crossbars and Fit Kit. The Fit Kit came with four rubber pads and four clamps. The bars also do come with the feet. The plastic pad for the foot can be attached to the foot in either direction indicated by the arrow.The instructions found in the Fit Kit do indicate which position the arrow will point. We'll now go ahead and attach the rubber foot from the Fit Kit to the plastic pad on our foot. more

Now to begin our test fit, we've already gone ahead and assembled the cross bars according to the instructions, so we'll start by placing the front cross bar on top of our factory-raised side rails. Now we'll want to make sure that the rubber-coated steel strap goes underneath the side rail, as this is how the foot attaches to it. We'll now take a measurement from a fixed location on the side rail. We'll do this on both sides of the vehicle to ensure that the cross bar is perpendicular with the side rail, making it easier to load your accessories. We can then take the included Allen tool found within each foot and tighten down the Allen bolt securing our cross bar to the vehicle. more

Since this set is designed to work with vehicles of factory way side rails, there are no set positioning measurements.Well set the first bar up on top of our way side rails. We need to make sure that the front bar is running perpendicular to our way side rails, so in order to do this we can line it up with the marked indicators that are on the side rails of our Jeep Patriot. Once weve done that, well fit our rubber coated steel straps around the side rails and tighten them down with the included tool. more

Thule AeroBlade Podium Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Jeep Compass- Video
Today we have a 2012 Jeep Compass and were going to be test fitting the Thule Aeroblade Roof Rack System. Well be using fit kit part number THKIT3097, the 47-inch Aeroblade bars part number THARB47 as well as the Thule Rapid Podium Feet part number TH460R. We already have our roof rack put together according to the instructions and now were ready to fit it up on the vehicle. The first thing we need to do is remove the plastic covers on the mounting points on our Jeep Compass. Once weve done that, we can place the front load bar up on top of the roof. Well then take the Allen head bolts that came with the fit kit and start them through into the flush rails on our Jeep Compass. more

Alright, today on this 2012 Jeep Patriot, we're going to do a test fit of the Thule Roof Rack System. We'll be using the Thule Rapid Crossroads Foot Pack with the Thule AeroBlade Load Bars. Our Jeep has rails already in place in the factory so all we could do is add our load bars to it. We're going to start off with our load bars already assembled according to instructions and we'll go ahead and place them on the rails. We'll start off with the first crossbar going towards the front. We'll put it into place and then we'll go ahead and make sure it's square, and then we'll loosely install the straps to go around the factory rails and to the clips on the other side. more

Alright, today on this 2012 Jeep Patriot we're going to do a test fit of the Rhino Rack Roof System. Product number SXB3. We'll start with our roof rack RA assemble according to the instructions. So we'll go ahead and place them onto the factory roof rack. We'll start off with the first crossbar going towards the front of the SUV. We measure off one of the edges on the factory roof rack so we know that our crossbar will be square. more
