Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar here on our 2017 Newmar Canyon Star. So here you can see what our sway bar looks like installed. You'll also notice that directly in front of the aftermarket sway bar, we have the factory sway bar which is the great thing about this kit here. It actually allows you to retain the factory sway bar, it doesn't replace it. So in our kit here we're gonna get our actual anti-sway bar. We're gonna get our polyurethane bushings. more

Clayton: Hello everybody, Clayton here at etrailer.com and today I have a 2017 Thor Hurricane Motor Home. We'll be taking a look at and I'll show you how to install the Roadmaster Front Sway Bar. There could be a couple of reasons you're wanting to look for a new front sway bar. You could be getting a lot of body roll, maybe it doesn't have a front sway bar from the factory or it's just small and not quite big enough for your application. This is going to make a big difference when we're flat towing, maneuvering in tight locations or just going down the highway and having to make a quick lane change. We're going to notice a lot less body roll in our motor home, it's going to tighten it up a lot like our cars. more

If you're going to be making more than one, I definitely recommend starting with the rear anti-sway bar. Today, we're going to be taking a look at Roadmaster's Front Anti-Sway Bar, here for our 2018 Jayco Greyhawk.The front sway bar is going to be an excellent addition to any motorhome. Basically, what it is going to do, in the shortest, simplest sense, is it's going to provide a more direct link between the chassis and the body. Some examples you might really see right away for improvements are when we're out on the open road, if we get passed by a large semi or we need to make some evasive maneuvers in our steering, we're not going to feel as much rocking from our coach back and forth and side to side. We're going to feel much more in control of our motorhome here, which is going to increase our confidence when we're out on the road.So now we're going to go ahead and take our speed bump course here with our factory sway bars here to show you the difference it's going to make when we install the upgraded sway bars. more

Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2017 Fleetwood Bounder Motorhome- Video
Hi there motor home owners. Today on your 2017 Fleetwood Bounder, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install a Roadmaster steering stabilizer.And this is what our stabilizer looks like when it's installed. It attaches to your axle on one side and to your tie rod here on the other side. It works with your steering system to act as a dampener. So if you we're to hit any potholes or uneven terrain, it often causes your steering wheel to jerk or jut, shoot to one side. This is going to help dampen and minimize that, so you're not having to work so hard when you hit those things. more

We can see that hanging down there at the bottom, except this one here is going to be an even larger and more robust sway bar that's going to further prevent sway. And this is what our sway bar looks like when it's installed. It's significantly thicker diameter, and it's made up of 41 40 chromoly steel. So it's going to be stronger than the one that we had there, but since it's installed on this side of our axle, we're going to be getting the support from our original factory one, in addition to this one. more

Hi there, motor home owners. Today on your 2011 Ford F-53 Chassis, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's rear anti-sway bar, and this is what our sway bar looks like, when it's installed. It's an additional sway bar that is installed in tandem with your factory sway bar, which is located just on the other side of our axle here, except this sway bar is significantly more robust than that factory sway bar. It's significantly thicker diameter, and it's made up of 4140 chromoly steel, so it's going to be stronger than the one that we had there, but since it's installed on this side of our axle, we're going to be getting the support from our original factory one, in addition to this one.So, whenever our motor home wants to go to the left or to the right, and that body starts to roll, in order for the suspension to allow it to do that, that's going to pull up on this part of our sway bar, and it's going to push down on the opposite side here, and it's going to cause our sway bar to flex, and it doesn't want to flex. It wants to stay in this normal position here, so once it does flex, this larger thicker bar here's going to help bring our motor home back upright again, so it can return to its position. What this means for you, as the driver, is you're going to have more confidence in the stability of your motor home, because when you go to make turns, especially quick turns, such as an evasive maneuver, normally your motor home is going to tilt hard to one side.Having this here's going to minimize how much your motor home's going to tilt, so you're not going to feel like you're going to roll over. more

Whether you're new to driving a motor home, or you've been doing it for a while, you'll realize real quickly that it's not very comfortable or practical if you haven't driven something this large before. There's a lot of area for the wind to catch which just means that the wind is going to start pushing us around on the highway. And that all equates to us moving around in the seat, biting the steering wheel, trying to keep our motor home tracking straight, not to mention all the passengers and gear we have back here. That's getting tossed around. So overall it can be a little nerve-racking. more

Hi there Thor owners. Today on your 2020 Thor Miramar, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's steering stabilizer. This is what our steering stabilizer looks like when it's installed. It connects to the frame of the vehicle as well as to our tie rod here to help dampen any imperfections on the road. If we hit a pothole and it wants jerked the wheel to the left or to the right, our dampener here is going to absorb some of that impact. So it's not going to feel it as rough inside of our motor home. more

Rob: Hey everybody. It's Rob here at etrailer.com. And today we're going to be taking a look at the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer on our 2018 Winnebago Sunstar LX Motorhome. Now there's a lot of different things that when you're driving your motorhome, it may cause it to veer or jolt to the side. And what ends up happening is we're driving, we may hit a pothole and the steering wheel's going to shift and we have to correct it. And a lot of times we overcorrect, which means then we have to go back the other way and we get a lot of body roll, people in the back are getting tossed around, and it's just not that comfortable.Not to mention, if we have to keep fighting our steering wheel and recorrecting it and making sure we're pointing our motorhome where we want it to go, we have to concentrate even more. more

Now what our steering stabilizer's going to do for us is it is going to help stabilize the steering wheel. Because you haven't noticed whenever you're driving your motorhome down the road, if we hit a rut in the road, or if there's a big crosswind, we end up fighting the steering wheel, trying to keep it straight; especially if we're on the highway, there's a little bit of a crown. So, that can end up causing our motorhome to veer to the side. more

Our sway bars are going to eliminate, or at least reduce the amount of body roll that we get and that really soft feeling while we're driving down the road, so we can feel a lot more in control and relax a little bit, and actually enjoy your Motorhome the way it's supposed to be. From the back here, typically, most Motorhomes are going to have your bathroom, maybe a bedroom. There's quite a bit of weight back here, especially if you're flat towing a vehicle behind your Motorhome. That's a lot of weight, even more weight on the back, and it ends up kind of pushing and pulling the back end of the Motorhome around. more

So we can feel a lot more in control and relax a little bit and actually enjoy our motor home the way it's supposed to be.So here's what a Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar's going to look like once we have it installed. It is going to replace the factory sway bar but it is much bigger and made out of a better steel so it is going to give us a lot better performance. Whenever we're going through the turns, since the sway bar is braced to the front axle as well as the frame, it's going to use the axle to brace itself as the body starts shifting and prevent any kind of twisting and rolling action. more

Today in your 2020 Coachman Mirada, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Reflex Steering Stabilizer.We're now going to take it out on our test course. The biggest section that I expect you're going to notice a difference in here is going to be on the uneven bump section, because that somewhat simulates a pothole. It's a little bit the opposite of how a pothole is. It's going to be raised, rather than a sunken hole. But it should still cause our steering wheel to want to go one direction or the other, since only one wheel is going to be hitting that obstruction.This is some pretty sturdy suspension on here already, so it doesn't really seem to be affecting it too much here on our test course.Now we're going to head into the slalom section, where this is where you're going to be able to see our stabilizer working really well, as far as bringing the steering wheel back to center. more

The shock inside the assembly will act as a dampener.
