How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at our two-inch ball mount with our two and five-sixteenths pre-torqued ball on our 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Our ball mount is a black powder coated finish underneath an E-coat. That's gonna help once this finish starts to chip and crack, kind of how you see it right here, just from living the life of a ball mount. That's gonna help protect the metal still against rust and corrosion. Our ball and pin and clip both have a black nickel finish. That's gonna hold up against corrosion, and it also hides those nicks and scars you get on your ball from towing. more

Hey, how's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the etrailer 7,500 pound ball mount on our 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. So here we actually have a black powder-coated steel. It actually is a nice thick powder coat over an e-coat, so even once this chips, 'cause overtime sticking it in and out of your shank, dropping it on the ground is ultimately gonna chip, you still have an e-coat underneath that's gonna protect the metal integrity for the long haul basically. The black nickel finish here, not only does it look kind of cool, it's also gonna help hide those scuffs and scratches that you get just from hooking up to your couplers. Using ball grease is always a great thing that's recommended to keep everything moving smoothly so it can pivot down the road, okay And the ball itself is actually pre-torqued coming from our, when it ships out to you. So you don't necessarily need to, you know, if you need to tow, you're ready to go. more

B&W Tow and Stow 3 Ball Mount Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 BWTS10049B

We're going to show you the BMW Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount, part number BWTS10049B. Now even though a ball mount is rated for a total weight of 10,000 pounds, always check to make sure your vehicle can handle the weight that you want to pull. Also you don't want to go over the weight capacities of the hitch balls individually. The biggest feature about this is that when you're done using it if you're in the habit of leaving your ball mount on the truck, you can actually take this whole assembly and flip it around and store it underneath the hitch if you had the room. Once again we'll go ahead and remove our 2 pins here, and by the way, they're stainless steel, so they'll stay corrosion free for a very long time. We'll go ahead and pull out our pins. This also has a pin in it on both sides and it hits the stop right here, so it can't completely come all the way off. Then you just swing it back up and reinstall your pins. more
