Today on our 2006 Toyota Prius, we'll be installing Hidden Hitch 1 1/4" Receiver Tube Hitch, part number 60894. Here's what our hitch will look like once installed. Next, we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements to assist your selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 1 3/4". From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 11 1/2". This will assist your selecting accessories such as a bike rack or cargo carrier. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Toyota Prius - Curt- Video
Today on our 2006 Toyota Prius, we'll be installing the Curt 1 and a quarter inch receiver new hitch part number C11468. Here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. Next we'll go and give you a couple of measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outer most edge of the bumpers is approximately 2 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground, is about 11 and a half inches. This will assist you in selecting accessories such as a bike rack or cargo carrier. We'll now go ahead and install with the installation. You'll need to remove the under body panel here on the driver side. There are multiple fasteners securing it, like, push pin fasteners and screws. To remove the push pin fasteners, we'll simply take a flat-blade screwdriver, pry on on the center of the fastener, once we get the center pried out, we can go ahead and remove the fastener. Then using a flat-blade screwdriver or a trim panel tool, we'll pop through the rear section, which is just a press over stud. Now we can go ahead and remove the under body panel from the vehicle. Next, we'll need to remove the tow hooks. There's a tow hook on each side. more

Today on our 2006 Toyota Prius, we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Hitch, part number 24808. Here's what our hitch will look like once installed. Next, we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your hitch. From the center of your hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 1 3/4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 11 1/2 inches. This will assist you in selecting accessories such as a bike rack or a cargo carrier. We'll now go ahead with the installation. You'll need to remove the underbody panel here on the driver's side. more
