Hey everybody. Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2015 Mazda CX-5, we're gonna be checking out our best trailer hitch options. Today, we're gonna be checking out four different hitches. So, right here we have the etrailer hitch, this one's the Curt hitch, this one right here is the EcoHitch, and this one here is the Draw-Tite hitch. Now, before we kind of get too carried away talking about some of the differences and similarities, I just like to point out, you know, which one I would go with and little bit why. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Mazda CX5, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C13315.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. The hitch itself or receiver tube is nice and tucked in underneath the bumper fascia so you're not going to have to worry about hitting your legs or your shins on it when loading and unloading the bag to the vehicle. It's gonna be a class 3. It's gonna be 2" x 2". Hitch pin hole's gonna be 5/8 inch in diameter. As you can see, it has nice reinforced collar to give you a little extra stability on your receiver tube.Your safety chain loops is going to be ring style. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Mazda CX-5, we're gonna take at and show you how to install the Draw-Tite, customer fit, Class II trailer hitch receiver. This part number is 36601. As you can see, we're really not changing the overall effect of the rear of the vehicle very much. Just a small cosmetic difference here with our receiver tube opening, and safety chain connection points. That main cross tube of the hitch remains completely hidden the fascia. That keeps it looking pretty clean here on the rear.This is a Class II hitch, so it's gonna work out really well for most hitch applications. more

Today on our 2015 Mazda CX5 we'll be looking at the most popular hitch options available. We have a class three CURT 2" receiver, part number C13127. We have a class two 1-1/4" receiver, part number C12080. We have a class two Draw-Tite 1-1/4" receiver, part number 36602. Finally, a class three Draw-Tite 2" receiver, part number 75217. I'd like to point out here, all of our four hitches here, they all install using the exact same mounting points. No drilling is required. more

Today, on this 2015 Mazda CX-5, we're going to review and install the Hidden Hitch Class III 2-inch Receiver Hitch, part number 87686. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on our CX-5. As you can see, there's really not all that much to see but the receiver opening itself. This is our 2-inch opening here. This has a rounded collar around the edge of it. This is actually reinforcing for a tube. more

Today on this 2015 Mazda CX5, we're going to review and install the Draw Tite Max Frame Class III 2 inch receiver hitch, part number 75217. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed in our CX5. As you can see, there's really not all that much to see but the receiver opening itself. This is our 2 inch opening here and this has a rounded collar around the edge of it. This is actually reinforcement for our tube. We'll see two hitch pin holes. The larger hole is 5/8ths of an inch in diameter and the small one is actually designed for use with a J pin stabilization pin and that works with accessories that do not have their own anti-rattle device built into them. more

Today on our 2015 Mazda CX5, we're going to do a review an install of the Curt Class 3 2 Inch Receiver Tube Hitch, part number C13127. Now here is what our hitch looks like once it is installed. As you can see, the only thing really visible is our receiver tube which is our 2 inch by 2 inch, our predrilled hole for our 5/8 pin and our chain hold out. The remaining portion of our hitch is hidden behind the rear facial making it a really sleek and stylish design when added to our CX5. Next I'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 2 3/4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 13 1/4 inches. more

Today on our 2015 Mazda CX5 we'll be installing the CURT class tow 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number C12080. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, the only thing really visible is our receiver tube. It's a 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" with our 1/2" pre-drilled hole for our pin and clip, and then our chain hold down. The remaining portion of our hitch is hidden nicely behind the rear fascia. This hitch is capable of up to 350 pounds of tongue weight and 3,500 pounds of tow capacity. more
