Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2006 Hummer H3. Up top here we're going to have our Draw-Tite, which is going to be a Class 3 hitch. Then right below that we're going to have our CURT, which is going to also be a Class 3 hitch. If I was looking for a hitch for my H3, I personally would go with the Draw-Tite just because of a few things that it's going to have that the CURT's not. But let's take a closer look at both of our hitches and look at some of the features.Just looking at our hitches, we can see that the overall design is going to be very similar. That's because both of our hitches are going to install exactly the same. more

Today on our 2006 Hummer H3, we'll be installing the hidden hitch, part number 87406. This is what our hitch will look like once installed. Next, we'll go and give you a couple measurements to assist your selecting accessories for your new hitch. Note, this measurements will be based on wheel and tire size. From the center of the hitch pin hold to the outermost edge of the spare tire is 12 3/4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 20 inches. This will assist you selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. Now, we'll go ahead with the installation. more
