Best 2010 Honda Odyssey Hitch Options

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options on our 2010 Honda Odyssey. Now the hitch on the top of our rack here is going to be the CURT class three, part number C13068, followed by the Draw-Tite class three Max-Frame hitch, part number 75270. Our third hitch is going to be the CURT class two, part number C12031. The hitch on the bottom's going to be the Draw-Tite class two, part number 36417. Now you're going to notice that we have a difference in hitches here. The top two are going to be class three hitches, where these bottom two are going to be class two. That's going to give you 2" openings on our class threes and 1-1/4" on our class twos. more

Today, on this 2010 Honda Odyssey, we're going to install part #C12031 from CURT. This is what the hitch looks like on the Odyssey. We'll give you a few measurements to help you with selecting some accessories, such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. The top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 14 inches, and the center of the center of the hitch-pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 3 inches. Now, I'll show you how to hitch and install. First, we need to check our attachment points underneath the vehicle. There's going to be two threaded holes toward the bumper on each side. We're going to spray some lubricant and use a tube brush to help clean up the threads. The tube brush is part #814092. Take a few moments to scrub down your threads. Then test it with one of the hitch-bolts to make sure the thread is in okay. Once we can thread it in, we can move on to the next one. There will be 4 threaded holes that we have to clean out. Now, we can show you how the hardware works with the hitch. With the hitch off the vehicle, we'll show you how the bolts will work with the fasteners. more

Today on our 2010 Honda Odyssey we're going to install part number 90153 from Hidden Hitch. Alright this is what the hitch looks like installed on the van. Next we'll give you some measurements to help you out selecting some accessories, such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about twelve and a quarter inches. And from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about four and a half inches. Alright, now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. To start off our install, we'll go ahead and locate the threaded holes at the bottom of the frame located right behind the bumper. Our next step is to go ahead and clean them out. We're going to use some spray lubricant and a tube brush to help clean out the threads. The tube brush is going to be part number 814092. We'll go ahead and test it with one of the hitch bolts, and once we can thread in the bolt we'll be okay. We go ahead and show you how the hardware works in the hitch and goes into the weld nuts. more
