Speaker 1: Today in our 2015 Ford Escape, you're going to be taking a look at . I'm going to show you how to install the etrailer.com class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number E-98866. This is what our hitch looks like when installed, you can see the cross tube is completely hidden behind the bumper fascia. The thing we're really going to see is our receiver tube, however it does sit nice and tucked in back behind the most outer edge of the bumper fascia, so we're not going to have to worry about hitting our legs or our shins on it when we're loading and unloading the back of the vehicle. This is going to be a class-3 hitch, it's going to be a two inch by two inch, hitch pin hole is going to be 5/8 inch in diameter. We're going to have rolled steel style safety chain loop, it's going to be welled onto the bottom of the receiver tube. Gives you plenty of room for different size safety chain hooks. Now as far as weight capacities go, you're going to have a 350 pound max ton weight, which is an hour of pressure on the inside of the receiver tube. more

With our hitch in place, it does obstruct some of the sensor view but still leaves enough here that we can still use the hands-free lift gate. Now with our hitch installed you can see our rear hands-free lift gate option is still functioning. Here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. As you can see, we've got a round crosstube design that's offset, so while it does hang down below the exhaust, it sits far enough forward that it's not a real distraction from the look of our vehicle. Here at the center we've got easy access to our 2" by 2" receiver tube and the pre-drilled 5/8 pinholes. more
