Best 2008 Ford Escape Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2008 Ford Escape. First, we've got the CURT class 3 receiver hitch, part number 13650. Then we've got the Draw-Tite class 3 receiver hitch, part number 75751. CURT also has class 3 hitch, part number C13651, that's not on the rack. It's going to look exactly the same and give us the same features. The only difference is you're only able to use it on Escapes that come with the factory 1-1/4" hitch. The biggest difference that we're going to see between these two hitches is that the Draw-Tite is going to have higher weight capacities than the CURT. more

Today on our 2008 Ford Escape we're going to take a look at, then show you how to install the CURT custom fit trailer hitch receiver. This is a class three 2" opening hitch. It's part number is 13650. Here's what the hitch looks like once we get it installed on the vehicle. As you can see, it drops down pretty close to the center before it ever really becomes visible. Gives it a nice OEM kind of look. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Ford Escape - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2008 Ford Escape we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Hitch, part number 36501. This is what it'll look like once we install the hitch. Next, we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements to assist you in selecting accessories, such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 2 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 10-1/2 inches. Now we'll go ahead with installation. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Ford Escape - Hidden Hitch- Video
Today on our 2008 Ford Escape we'll be installing the Hidden Hitch, part number 90108. This is what it will look like once we install the hitch. Next we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you in selecting accessories, such as a ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 2 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 10 1/2 inches. Now we'll go ahead with the installation. Here, on the inside of each frame rail, will be our attachment points for a total of four attachment points, two on each side, using these pre-drilled holes in the frame as our attachment points, using the end of the frame to install our hardware. Note we've already gone ahead and lowered and removed the spare tire to make it easier to install the new hitch. To secure our hitch, we'll be using the half-inch carriage bolt and block, along with a half-inch conical tooth washer, the teeth of the washer will face the hitch, a half-inch nut and the half-inch pull wires provided with our install kit. To get our hardware into position, we'll first take the pull wire, feed it through the attachment point and out the end of the frame. more

Today on this 2008 Ford Escape, we're going to install part number 75751 from Draw-Tite. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on a vehicle. Next we'll give you some measurements that'll help you out in selecting accessories, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. The top of receiver opening down to the ground will be about 16". From the center of your hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be around 1-3/4". Today we will be working on a 2008 Ford Escape. We will be installing Hidden Hitch part number 87585. This will also be comparable to the Draw-Tite part number 75693. Here are a couple of measurements that will assist you with ing accessories for your new hitch such as a draw bar, a bike rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost point of the bumper is about 1-1/2 inches. And from the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 15-1/4 inches.
