Best 2006 Ford Escape Hitch Options- Video
Today, we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2006 Ford Escape. First, we've got the Curt class 3 receiver hitch, part number 13650. Then we've got the Draw-Tite class 3 receiver hitch, part number 75751. Curt also has class 3 hitch part number C13651 that's not on the rack. It's going to look exactly the same and give us the same features. The only difference is you're only able to use it on Escapes that come with the factory 1 1/4" hitch. The biggest difference that we're going to see between these two hitches is that the Draw-Tite is going to have higher weight capacities than the Curt. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Ford Escape - Curt- Video
Today on this 2006 Ford Escape, we're going to install part number C12060 from Curt. This is a Curt Class 2, inch and a quarter receiver hitch. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on the Ford Escape. Next we'll give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories, such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 2 inches and from the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 16 inches. Today on this 2006 Ford Escape we're going to install part number 87626 from Hidden Hitch. This is their custom fit class three 2" receiver. This is what the hitch looks like once it's installed on the Escape. Next we'll give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground comes out to about 16". From center of the hitch pinhole to the outside edge of the bumper is about 1-1/2". more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid- Video
Today on this 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid we are going to install part number 13650 from Curt. First step is to lower the exhaust so we have a little more access. Basically, there is going to be one bolt that the exhaust covers up. We are going to lower it right now and get it out of the way, so we will not have any problems when we need to tighten it up. We are going to spray the hangers down with some lubricant and pry them off. :26 more
