Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt class one trailer hitch receiver; part number C11240. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. Now, one thing I really like about this hitch is how high and tight it's tucked up against our rear fascia here. This provides us with optimal ground clearance.On the side of our receiver here, you'll find our industry standard half inch diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch mounted accessories. A half inch diameter hitch pin and clip is included with this hitch. Welded on the bottom of the frame of our receiver and the receiver tube itself, we find our safety chain plate. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Chevrolet Sonic - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on this 2012 Chevrolet Sonic were going to install part number 24876 from Draw-Tite. All right, now this is what the hitch looks like once installed in the car. Next, well give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of receiver opening down to the ground will be 12-1/2 inches. From the center of our hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be 3-1/4 inches.
