Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options available for the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Cab and Chassis. We have our CURT, part number C15800. In the middle we have our Draw-Tite, part number 41947. At the bottom here we have another CURT, part number C15400. Now while all of these are class 5s, they all have ups and downs to each one of them. Let's go ahead and take a look at some of their differences. Today on this 2005 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab we're going to install part number BWHDRH25189. This is a BMW Heavy Duty 2 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver. This is what the hitch looks like once it's installed on our Silverado. Next we'll go ahead and give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground is about twenty-two inches. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the edge of the bumper is going to be about three and a quarter inches. more

Next we'll give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. In the center of the hitch pin hole, the outside edge of the bumper is going to be about 2 inches. more

Today on this 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Pick Up we're going to install part number 419349 from Draw-Tite. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed in the truck. Next, we'll give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories such as ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of a bumper is going to be about 3 inches, and then from the top of receiver opening down to the ground is going to 25 inches. Now keep in mind this truck does have aftermarket tires on it so the truck is sitting on the higher inaudible. Now I'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. more
