Westin PRO TRAXX Oval Nerf Bars Review 20-1310- Video

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Westin PRO TRAXX Oval Nerf Bars, in the polished stainless steel.Now this is what our nerf bars are gonna look like installed on the truck. As you can see, really nice, clean appearance. Typically when we get a call from a customer requesting nerf bars it's one of two things; either they want a little bit of help getting in and out of the vehicle, or they wanna improve the appearance of the truck.Now, the nerf bar kit is gonna be a full cab length design, so not only are we getting the step here on on our driver's door, it's gonna give us an area for the rear passengers to step out and on. They've got the polished stainless steel look, and each end has been turned in to kinda follow the contours of the vehicle and give it a nice, clean look. Now unlike the older nerf bars that we're typically round, these are gonna be an oval, 5" wide, nerf bar; that's gonna give us a lot more surface area.Now the steps themselves are also 5" wide, as you can see there's a nice flat surface here. The raised texture is gonna prevent our foot slipping side to side even if they might be wet. more

DeeZee Oval Nerf Bars Installation - 2016 GMC Sierra 1500- Video

Today on our 2016 GMC Sierra, we're gonna be taking a look at and installing the DZ Nerf Bars, part #DZ372529 in black. Now, they're also available in polished stainless steel, using part #DZ372527. So, here's what our steps look like fully installed on our truck. Now, these are gonna be great because they're gonna make it a little bit easier to get in and out of our truck. Now, the tube itself is steel. It has a black powder coat finish so, it is gonna resist rust and corrosion, and it is a four inch oval tube. It has two steps per side, and the step pad is made up of an anti-slip plastic so, you know you're gonna have a secure footing each time you get in or get out of your truck. Now, the steps themselves are gonna be right about 24 inches long. more

Westin PRO TRAXX Oval Nerf Bars Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be showing you how to install the Westin PRO TRAXX four inch oval nerf bars in the polished stainless steel. Part number is 21-23720. Here's what our nerf bars are going to look like installed on our Silverado. As you can see that polished stainless steel really sets the truck off and gives it a nice custom look. Now they offer the cab length design so it's designed to fit the full length and I think they're really going to lend themselves nicely to most of the paint colors that are going to be on the truck just because they are more in that neutral tone. This is going to give us a really nice wide area to be able to step down on and get lots of traction off the raised lugs that are on there. Unlike the older step bars that just kind of had rubber there, these are actually going to give us some grip, something our feet will be hold on to and we won't be slipping trying to get in the truck. Now the step pads themselves are a heavy duty polymer material. They're designed to resist any of the kind of the deterioration that you sometimes get from the UV rays, especially with the cracking or the fading. more

Aries Round Nerf Bars Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video

Today, on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we'll be having a look at and installing the Aries Round Nerf Bars, part number AA204045. Here's what our running boards look like installed. As you can see, not only do they give our truck an aggressive look, but they also serve a purpose. They make it a lot easier for us to get in and out of our truck. The non-slip rubber pad, here, on the top, gives you a nice place to step to get in and out of the truck, especially if it's raining or you have mud on your shoes or your boots. Not only do we have this nice step feature for our front seat passengers, but we also have it for our rear seat passengers. Our Nerf bars are constructed of a very durable, high carbon steel, and are also powder-coated in a semi-gloss black powder-coat finish, which will give us many years of rust free service. Our Nerf bar has a three inch tubular steel design, which gives us plenty of surface area for us to step on to get in and out of our vehicle easily. These are also available in black, part number 23-3935. Here's what these tube steps are going to look like once they're installed on your truck. These steps are going to help make it easier to get into your truck, so you've got a platform to step on before getting all the way in. What's really nice about these is unlike other steps, such as truck bed steps or cab steps, these contour nicely to the full length of the cab of the truck. It maintains a very clean look with the polished stainless steel finish, and we've got nice large foot pads in order to step on, and they've got some pattern on them to help give you traction so you don't slip when they're wet. The biggest benefit that these tube steps are going to bring your truck, is that it's going to make it easier to get in and out, because the step won't be quite as high. The best feature about these nerf bars is that it gives you wheel to wheel coverage. What's nice about the wheel to wheel coverage is that it gives you three steps. On this 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 crew cab we're going to show you a Dee Zee tube steps part number DZ372539. This is what they look like when they're installed on our truck. You can see that reaches from the bender wheel in front to the rear of the cab in the back. Our tube steps are going to be four inches across measured from here to here. This is the same all the way around even around the curves. This has a plastic step on top here and you notice it actually has a texture on the top to get a firm grip with your shoes to get in and out. Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab, we're going to review and install the Westin E-Series Round Nerf Bars. Part number 23-71950. Now here's what our nerf bars are going to look like once they're installed. Being a crew cab, we've got stepping pads for both the front and second row. Here for each entry and exit is our nice plastic-molded pad. This will give us a good, sure grip when getting in or out of the vehicle. The length of our pad is 21", and our width is right at 3". That gives us plenty of room even for those with larger feet. more

Westin Running Boards Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Traverse- Video

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Traverse for our review and install of the Weston Tube Step Running Board, part number 27-6620-1835. Here's what the running boards are going to look like once they're installed. The running board is going to provide a nice, stable step for getting into and out of the vehicle. Our running board is approximately seventy two inches long from end to end, the entire width of the running board is six inches, and the rubber step in the center to provide our traction is four and a half inches wide. Our rubber step is also made of UV material so it won't crack or fade in the sunlight. Also built into our step are the grooves or channels, this will help divert water so we have a good, sure-footed gripping area. As you can see we've got a nice streamlined look with our running board because it's made of a bright anodized aluminum construction so it won't rust. Now to begin our install we need to identify the front attachment points and bracket. more

DeeZee Oval Tube Steps Installation - 2014 Ford F-150- Video

Today on our 2014 ford f150, we're going to show you how to install the DZ oval tube steps, with he custom installation kit. These are the six inch wide model and the black powder coat steel. Part number is DZ 16121-16325. Here's what our steps are going to look like once we get them installed. Its the nice, clean really proportionate step, gives us a nice wide area to place our foot. DeeZee Round Nerf Bars Installation - 2015 GMC Canyon- Video

Today on our 2015 GMC Canyon, we are going to review and install the DZ Tube Steps, Part Number DZ372043. With our tube step installed, really makes it nice and easy to get in and out off our truck. Our round chrome tube step adds a really nice finishing touch to our vehicle. For each door, we are going to have a black plastic molded step with built in tread so it will give us a nice firm grip as we are getting in and out of the vehicle. The hardware and brackets that come with our install kit are steel brackets with a fully welded construction. They have got really nice black powder coated finish that will resist rust and corrosion. Now to begin our install, we need to identify our front attachment points here on the inner rocker panel. Starting from the front wheel well back, we are going to be using the two small pre-drilled holes as our attachment points. more

Today on our 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 we're going to be installing the Dee Zee tube steps, part number DZ372529. Note this is on the double cab or extended cab length pickup. Now here's what our tube step will look like once it's installed. Now the tube step themselves are made from a real nice steel construction with both the tube step and the brackets, each part having a nice black powder-coated finish so it will resist rust and corrosion over time. Now for each door we've got a front and rear pad for stepping in and out of the vehicle. The pads themselves approximately 24" long by 4" wide. more

DeeZee Oval Tube Step Kit Installation - 2015 Ford F-250- Video

Today on this 2015 Ford F250 SuperDuty SuperCab, we're going to show you the DZ Oval Tube Steps with Custom Installation Kit, part number DZ16113-16326. This is what the tube steps looks like when they're installed on the passenger side of the truck. You can see that it's about 6" wide overall. It's a nice wide surface here to put your shoes on. The end caps and the treads are constructed from heavy-duty plastic so it will last a long time. Now, the tube itself is constructed from 16-gauge steel with a stainless steel overlay on top to help protect it and give it a nice finished look. These 3 brackets that you see underneath here are included in the kit, and this is a no-drill application. They actually use existing holes in the truck. more

DeeZee Round Nerf Bars Installation - 2005 Chevrolet Silverado- Video

Today on our 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to show you Dee Zee Nerf Bars, part number DZ371523. We've got them installed on our passenger side of our truck, so let's go ahead and cover some of the features. First off, this is a polished stainless steel finish. The diameter of the tube is going to be about three inches. You can see it has a 90 degree turn, and this is inaudible 00:00:23 bent, which means that the tube has a smooth bend all the way around. No kinks or anything like that. The step plates here are constructed from the heavy duty plastic, one half for our extended cab here and of course, the other one for the front of our cab. more

Westin PRO TRAXX Oval Nerf Bars Installation - 2015 Ram 2500- Video

Today on our 2015 Ram 2500 crew cab, we'll be installing the Westin Pro Traxx Oval Nerf Bars in polished stainless steel, part number 21-23560. As you can see here, your Westin Nerf Bars feature a nice, powder-coated bracket. The mounting locations for your nerf bars are already here in the rocker panels, so there's no drilling required. There's 3 brackets on each side and again, your mounting locations are already located here on the vehicle. You just have to insert a nutsert and then the hardware is provided with the kit that you'll need to install the nerf bars. The nerf bars feature a nice, oval shape which will give you more room to stand on opposed to a round bar and these have a nice, stainless steel finish on them. more

Bestop PowerBoard Running Boards Installation - 2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body- Video

Today on our 2007 Chevy Silverado new body 2500 we'll be installing the Bestop Power Board Motorized Running Boards with LED lights, part number B7512615. To begin our install we'll start on the driver's side. We'll need to remove the manufacturer's parking brake cable ring. We'll remove the bolt that secures it and then remove it completely. We're going to reinstall a new hold down ring. We'll go ahead and pull the bolt out, then use a pair of pliers and a screwdriver to open the ring up enough to remove it from the cable. more
