Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Malibu we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver, which is a class two hitch, part number 36538. This is what the hitch looks like once it's installed on your vehicle. As you can see, it stays pretty well tucked up and it's pretty well hidden. Here you've got the reinforced collar here around the the receiver tube hitch that's 1-1/4" by 1-1/4". Right here we've got the 1/2" hitch pinhole. Here we've got this plate. Right here is where the safety chains would hook into. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2014 Chevrolet Malibu. First we've got our Curt, which is part number C12115, and we've got our Draw Tite which is part number 36538. Both of these hitches are going to be pretty similar in almost every aspect. There's just going to be a few differences and they're primarily cosmetic. Both of them have the reinforcement collar around the inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube. On the Curt it's got the fully welded design whereas down here on the Draw Tite it's got the two plates put around the outside that are then welded into place. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, we're going to be installing the Hidden Hitch trailer hitch receiver, part number 90237. Now here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a ball mount, bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is approximately 5". From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 11". Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. Now we're going to begin over here on the driver's side of the vehicle. We're going to need to remove this bolt right here, which is the inner bolt of the exhaust hangar. more

Today on this 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, we're going install part number, C12115 from Curt. All right, this is what the hitch looks like once installed on the car. Next, we'll give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories, such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 11 inches. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the edge of the bumper will be about 3 inches. Now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. We're going to remove a bolt on our exhaust hanger bracket, this vehicle is only a single exhaust so just remove the one bolt on the driver's side. Then the bolt on the other side will help hold the exhaust up. more
