Hey everybody, Ryan here at Etrailer today on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler. We're going to be showing you how to install the etrailer.com class three trailer hitch receiver. But before we do that why don't we check it out and make sure this is the one that's going to work best for you So people use these Jeeps to do a lot of different things and there's several different hitches that are kind of purpose-built. And when it comes to choosing one, I feel like you have to ask yourself, do I care about what it looks like Am I shooting for the best appearance And what am I actually gonna use it for So at this one here, in my opinion, I think it looks the best. And that's because it sits flush with our bumper. Really isn't all that noticeable, especially with the matte black finish, it just kind of blends in and matches the bumper. more

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitches available for the 2007 to 2017 Jeep Wrangler. Now we've tested all of these hitches on numerous different Jeeps that we have here around the shop and basically each one of them is going to have strengths and weaknesses depending on what you're going to do with your Jeep. Now, later in the video we're going to get into some specifics on each of the hitches, the measurements and things like that, but if you're just interested in knowing which is gonna be better for what we can handle that now and save you some time. Basically, if you're into off-roading, departure angle is usually an issue. That's how steep of an angle on the back of your Jeep you can come off and slide down a hill. If that's a concern, either the etrailer, part number 898835, or the Curt, part number 13432, they're going to be the best. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Jeep Wrangler - Draw-Tite

Today it's our 2013 Jeep Wrangler, we're going to install part # 75515 from Draw-Tite. This is what the hitch looks like once it's installed on a Jeep. Next we'll give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. Top of receiver opening down to the ground will be about 19-1/2". From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the spare tire is going to be about 5-3/4". Tire sizes can vary on this vehicle, so keep that in mind. Now I'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. Now this is a pretty easy hitch to install. First off, you want to test to make sure if we need to lower the exhaust or not. more

Today on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler we'll be installing the Curt 2 inch Receiver Tube Hitch, part number 9883544. This is what our hitch will look like once it's installed. Next, we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist your selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch-pin hole to the outer most edge of the rear mounted spare tire is approximately 10 and a half inches. From of the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 19 and a half inches. This will assist you with selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. Now we'll go ahead with installation. We'll first go ahead and point out the attachment points. more
