Now, there is something I do want to point out. On some models, you may have a spacer plate that's bolted right here where our hitch goes. You'll have to take that out before you put your hitch into place. more

It's going to sit out a little ways past our bumper and that's going to work really well for those folding accessories or if you have a very large spare tire. It's also going to have a matte black carbide finish. So, not only is it going to look good, it's going to stand up really well to that rough terrain and it's going to match that rugged look that our Jeep has. more

Best 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitches for the 2007 to 2017 Wrangler and Limited. We've tested all of these hitches on numerous different Jeeps that we have here around the shop, and basically each one of them is going to have strengths and weaknesses depending on what you're going to do with your Jeep. Later in the video we're going to get into some specifics on each of the hitches, the measurements and things like that. But if you're just interested in knowing which is going to better for what, we can handle that now and save you some time.Basically if you're into off-roading, departure angle is usually an issue. That's how steep of an angle on the back of your Jeep you can come off and slide down the hill. If that's a concern, either the etrailer part number E98835 or the Curt part number 13432, they're going to be the best. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Draw-Tite- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class Two Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 36424.So here's what our hitch looks like fully installed. Now, it is gonna stick out just right below our bumper, and it's not gonna be beyond the spare tire, but it is gonna stick out quite a ways, which is actually gonna be a good thing because we're not gonna have to have such an extended shank on any of our accessories. So that bike rack or cargo carrier is gonna be a lot easier to get in, and not have to worry about the spare tire interfering.Now it is a Class Two hitch, which means it's gonna give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. It does have that nice reinforced collar, giving it an overall finished look and a little bit more added strength.The way we're gonna mount any of our accessories is gonna be through the hitch pin hole here in the side. It's gonna accept a standard half inch pin and clip. They're not included, but you can pick some up on our website using part number PC2.For the safety chain connection point, it's gonna be a loop-style, welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Today on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class III Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76104. Here's what our hitch looks like fully installed. Now it is going to feature a reinforced collar and it is a class III, so it's going to give us that 2" by 2" receiver tube opening. Now we're going to have two sets of holes. The forward one or towards the front of the vehicle is going to be our hitch pin and clip. It's going to use a standard 5/8" pin and clip. They're not included but you can pick one up on our website using part number PC3. more

It's going to be a class three, two inch by two inch. Your hitch pin hole is going to be 5/8 in circumference. more
