How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the etrailer 7,500-pound ball mount on our 2023 Rivian R1T. What's really cool about the etrailer ball mount is the ball and pin and clip that's included. It has a black nickel finish on it that's gonna help hide those scuffs and scratches that a ball would catch just through its normal use being a ball mount. You can also add on some ball grease to kind of help keep this pivot point lubricated, but it's going to keep your ball mount looking nicer, newer for longer. As far as the shank, it's constructed of powder-coated black steel, and it has an E-Coat underneath the powder coat, so the powder coat once it's scratched or nicked just from living the life of a ball mount, you're still having protection with the metal underneath, and just when you do get those scars and scratches that it's bound to get, you can just touch it up using some rust-resistant spray paint. If you we inchesre needing a two-and-three-quarter-inch rise in your ball mount, it's also available in the opposite configuration pre-torqued right out the box. more

And that's gonna hold up, that's gonna basically allow your balls to look nice and new for longer and just hold up against the abuse that it's gonna receive being underneath a coupler. Another thing I usually suggest when you're getting a ball or ball mount is gonna be ball grease, just to keep that pivot point lubricated. This is gonna be one of the heavier duty options if you're gonna go towards the higher ends of your towing capacity on your Rivian. Having something like this is just gonna give you a peace of mind that you know that's gonna hold up against that more intensive using your truck like a truck activity. more
