Yakima Roof Box Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
So today with the 2012 Toyota 4Runner, we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Yakima Skybox low rooftop cargo box.So this box is gonna allow us to carry gear on the roof of our vehicle. Very similar to a roof mounted basket, except for the box is enclosed. It's gonna keep our gear out of the elements.Now this box has a low profile design, this is what's different about it compared to some of the other boxes out there, it's dimensions are about 92 inches long, 36 inches wide and 11 1/2 inches tall.So it's not gonna be that great for stacking gear on the inside, but it'll be great for those smaller gear items, maybe like skis or snowboards. Now it's gonna, excuse me, it's a universal fit, so it's gonna mount to your round, square, arrow, elliptical and most factory roof rack systems. I've got it attached to my after market roof rack system here on my raised rails of my 4Runner.Again, it's a nice tight fit, it's not going anywhere. But when positioning it on your roof, you want to be sure that you've still got enough room so you open up your rear hatch on your 4Runner. more

Thule Roof Box Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Today on our 2012 Toyota Forerunner we're doing a test fit of the Thule Flow Rooftop Cargo Box for skis and snowboards. This is going to have 14 cubic feet of space and come in a black color. That part number is TH606. Now this has a total weight capacity of 165 pounds and can carry either six to eight pairs of skis, or two to three snowboards or a combination of the two. We already have most of our box secured down. We're going to show you how to secure the front here. more

Thule Roof Box Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner TH628- Video
Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner, we'll be doing a test fit on the Thule Force Large Rooftop Cargo Box. That's part number TH628. It measures 74 inches long, 36 inches wide and 16 1/2 inches high. It offers a 16 cubic feet of space. It also has a nice Aeroskin design to it. I've already got it loaded up on the 4Runner, just to give you a good idea what it looks like. Real quick thing. more

Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Today on our 2012 Toyota 4runner well be test fitting the Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box in black, part number th636b. Well begin our test fit by placing the cargo box onto the vehicles load bars. Well unlock the box and open the lid exposing the four knobs. Well loosen up the knobs to open up the clamps and then well reposition the box making sure the clamps fit over top of the load bars. With the box in position we can again unlock it and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. Well then turn the knobs to bring the clamps up around tightly against each bar hearing a click when the knobs have been fully tightened down. more

After positioning the clamps over the load bars, well unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. Well turn the knobs to bring the clamps up around tightly against the load bars. Youll know when the clamps have been tightened all the way when the knob starts to ratchet and no longer tightens. Well then close the box and move to the other side of the vehicle where we will again unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. more

After positioning the clamps over the load bars, well unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. Well turn the knobs to bring the claws tightly up against the load bars. Youll know the claws have been tightened all the way as the knob will start to ratchet and wont allow you to tighten any more. Well then close the lid and move to the other side of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2012 Toyota 4runner well be test fitting the Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box, part number th613. Well begin our test fit by placing the cargo box onto the vehicles load bars. Well unlock the box and open the lid exposing the four slots. Well take the clamps and slide them down through the slots on top of the load bars. Well then turn the knobs to bring the clamps up around tightly against the load bars. Once everything is all 195242730tightened down and secured, you can see with the Thule Pulse Alpines long design, we cannot have access to the rear hatch of our 4runner. more

We can then close the lid and move to the other side of the vehicle where we can again unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. This double-opening lid also makes it super easy when loading and unloading your cargo from either side of the vehicle. more

Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner, well be test fitting the Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box, part number TH615. Now this 16-cubic-foot, matte black finish cargo box features a low-profile design while holding your luggage on top of the vehicle. Now to begin our test fit, well place the box on top of our crossbars. Now weve already gone ahead and passed the clamps through the cargo box, so as we load it youll notice that our clamps are open and well make sure that they go over the top of both the front and rear crossbar. We can then make sure that our box is centered with the vehicle, where well tighten down the gray knobs inside the cargo box, clamping the clamps to the crossbars, securing our box to the vehicle. With all four clamps tight, our cargo box is secured and were ready to load it up. more

Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner, well be test fitting the Thule Pulse Medium Rooftop Cargo Box, part number TH614. Now this 14-cubic-foot, matte black finish cargo box features an aerodynamic low-profile design while still being able to carry your luggage on top of the vehicle. Now all well need to do is go ahead and place our cargo box on top of our crossbars, where youll notice that our clamps have already been opened up. Well allow them to slide in and over the AeroBlades that we have on our 4Runner here. Well now go ahead and center the carrier with the vehicle where we can then open the lid and tighten down the four gray knobs, securing our cargo box to the vehicle. Now in place correctly, this box will not interfere with the cargo door. more

Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner, well be test fitting the Thule Force XL Rooftop Cargo Box, part number TH625. Now this 17-cubic-foot, AeroSkin, black in color cargo box features a low profile design and large enough to carry your luggage. This is a very quick installation. All well need to do is place the box on top of the crossbars. It may be a good idea to go ahead and loosen up the clamps and make sure theyre fully open before loading it onto your vehicles crossbars. Well go ahead and use an extra set of hands to help us get it on top of the 4Runner, where well make sure the clamps slide over our Thule AeroBlades. more

Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner, we'll be test fitting the Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box, part number TH624. Now to begin the test fit, we'll place the box on top of the crossbars. We'll align the clamping hardware over the top of the crossbars and tighten down the gray knob, securing the box to the vehicle. While also securing the box to the vehicle, it also secures the clamp to the box, making this a very quick and easy installation. That completes our test fit of the Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box, part number TH624, on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner. more
