Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2009 Mazda 3

Today on our 2009 Mazda3, we'll be test fitting the Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box measuring 22 cubic feet in metallic silver, part number TH636S. With the SportRack Roof Rack System on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Sonic directly onto our load bars. With the feet hanging out of the bottom of the box, we can adjust them as necessary to fit around each bar. We'll also check here at our rear antenna to see if our box is making contact. It does make contact, so we'll want to be sure to remove our rear antenna. We'll open the passenger's side of the box and use the 2 hand knobs on the side to tighten our feet around our bars. When our feet are all the way secure, the hand knob will start making a clicking noise to ensure that it's tight. more

Thule Sonic Medium Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2009 Mazda 3

Today on our 2009 Mazda 3 we'll be test fitting the Thule Sonic Medium rooftop cargo box measuring 13 cubic feet in glossy black, part number TH634B. With the sport rack roof rack on our vehicle we'll begin our test fit by placing our Sonic directly onto our load bars. With the feet hanging out of the bottom of the box we can adjust them as necessary to fit around each bar. We went ahead and removed the rear antenna just in case our box makes contact. As you can see we have room to reinstall it, so we'll go ahead and do that now. We'll open the passenger's side of the box and tighten the two feet on this side by tightening the hand knobs. One of the great features is that you'll hear a clicking noise when your feet are fully secured around the bar. Another great feature is its ability to open from either side of the vehicle. We'll move to the driver's side, open the box, and tighten down the two remaining feet using the hand knobs until we hear that clicking noise. That completes today's test fit of the Thule Sonic Medium rooftop cargo box, part number TH643B on our 2009 Mazda 3. more
