Today on this 2016 Hyundai Elantra, we're going to be taking a look at the Saris Thelma 3-Bike Rack, part number SA4239B. We already have a bike on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is attached to the rack, there's going to be 2 points of contact with no frame contact at all. There's going to be 2 wheel straps at the front and here, and there's going to be this tire hold here as well. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. Start with the rear strap and just push in on the tab. We'll pull the strap out. more

Today on our 2016 Hyundai Elantra, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Vertex 4-Bike Rack, part number TH9029XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike attach to the rack, we're going to have 3 points of contact with the bike's frame. We're going to have 2 strap up at the top here and 1 off to the side, and that's going to serve as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. We also have an integrated cable lock here at the front of the mast. You wrap that around the bikes, attach it to this point here. more

Today on this 2016 Hyuandi Elantra, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Roadway 2 Bike Rack, part number TH912XTR. As you can see we already have a bike on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is attached to the rack, we're going to have three points of contact with the bikes frame. We're going to have two straps up at the top here and one off to the side and that's going to serve as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. With the bike rack in this position, measuring from the bumper, we've added about twenty six inches to the rear of the vehicle. Our ground clearance at the bottom of the mast here, this edge, is going to be about seven and a half inches, and our closest point is going to be this grey latch here, and that's going to be about three inches. more

How the bike is attached to the rack, we're going to have four points of contact with the bike's frame. We're going to have three straps up at the top and then one off to the side here, and that's going to serve as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. Now with the bike rack in this position, I want to go ahead and give you some measurements. Measuring from the bumper to the outer edge here, you've added about 35.5" to the rear of the vehicle. more
