Today on our 2013 Honda Accent we'll be test-fitting the Thule Vertex hitch mountain bike carrier part number Th9029. To mount this carrier to our vehicle, we'll insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll line up our hitch pinholes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down using a wrench. We want to make sure that we can open the trunk completely and access the cargo area even with the bike rack installed. We'll grab the switch at the top of the bike rack to fold the arms out. We'll undo the rubber straps of the cradles closest to the vehicle and then we'll grab our bike. more

Swagman Titan Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Hyundai Accent

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Accent, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Titan 4-Bike Carrier, Part Number S63410. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, align up our pinholes and thread our anti-rattle bolt through the threaded pinholes and tighten with a wrench. It's important to note that when installing this accessory with a Class 1 hitch, the maximum number of bikes that you can load is two. To access the trunk of the car, we'll lift up the handle located at the base of the carrier and tilt the carrier down. This will allow you to have access to the trunk of your vehicle. To load the bike, first make sure that the mast is in the upright position. Lift the handle located at the top of the mast, fold the cradle arms toward you and undo the cradle straps. Now, you can sit the bike on to the frame and secure it with the cradle straps. Now, lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle fit together. Today on our 2013 Hyundai Accent, we will be test fitting the Hollywood Rack Sport Rider Platform-style Tilting Bike Carrier, Part Number HR1000-1g. To begin our test fit, we will slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. We need to make sure that we align our pinholes and then we can thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pinholes and tighten with a wrench. Lets get some of the clearance measurements to see how this bike carrier and this vehicle fit together. We have about 9 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about 1.5 inches. We have added about 22-1/2 inches to the overall length of the vehicle when the rack is folded up. You can also access the cargo area with this bike rack on the car. more

Thule Doubletrack Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Hyundai Accent

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Accent, we're going to be test fitting the Thule double-track platform-style bike rack, part number TH990XT. To install the bike rack into the hitch, we're going to need to take the shank of the rack and slide it into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll line up the hitch pin hole with the hole in the shank of the bike rack, and install our threaded anti-rattle pin. With the bike rack now installed on the vehicle, we can go ahead and give you a couple of measurements. With the rack in the folded position, we have a ground clearance of 8". We have a measurement of about 1" from the outermost part of the bumper to the bike rack. more

Today on this 2013 Hyundai Accent, we are going to do a test for the part number S102, the Kuat Sherpa Hitch Bike Rack. To begin our test fit, we will slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch and turn the black handle located at the base of the carrier to engage our anti-lateral device. Now, let us go over some clearance measurements, to see how the bike carrier and the vehicle will fit together. There are about 9 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the bike rack is about 1 inch. We have added about 11.5 inches to the overall length of the vehicle with the bike rack folded. more
