Hi, it's Evangeline from etrailer.com and today we are looking at the Thule Helium 2 Bike Platform Style Rack here on our 2021 Toyota Tacoma. Now, this is an awesome bike rack, especially if your priorities is something that is light and easy to use, it has your premium features like tilt the way and folding, but it only weighs 43 pounds. So, one of the first features that we'll show is the tilt away feature. So, you just press that lever there and let it drop down. Now for our Tacoma here, you tilt the ways that you can lower your tailgate, but as you can see, it makes contact with that bike right there. So, you can't lower your tailgate all the way, but still a fair enough of space just to get in there, get whatever you need to have your truck bed without having to take off the bike completely.So, that's just something to think about. more

Swagman RV and Camper Bike Racks Review - 2020 Toyota RAV4- Video
Evangeline: Hi, it's Evangeline from etrailer.com, and today we are looking at the Swagman XC2 bike platform style rack here on our 2020 Toyota Rav4. So this is a great option if you want a platform style rack with all the essential features and you don't want to have to pay extra for those extra bells and whistles that you may not need. The way our bike is mounted to this rack here is by these wheel loops at the bottom and a frame mount. So if you look at the wheel loops, they can accommodate bike tire width of 3 1/2 inches, and you can loosen this and move it back and forth to accommodate bikes that are longer or shorter wheel bases.This has a frame mount up here, so if you want to dismount your bike. What I like to do is actually take off the frame mounts completely, just so that I don't have to lift the bike over the mast. So with this frame mount off, I can then just lower it by releasing this pin at the bottom right there. more

This is a great bike rack if you want something that's small, minimalistic, lightweight but really sturdy and will secure your bike racks very well.So the way our bike is mounted to this bike rack here is by two straps here by the wheels and this raim mount as well. And this frame Mount is interesting because of the weight it can adjust you can rotate it 360 degrees. It fits around your tire, your frame, and it has this nice rubber strap here to help grip it as well as protect it from scratch and scratch scuffs. So I really liked that function. So to dismount your bike I start with the wheel straps, so take that up and out of the way. more

Now, this bike rack is great if you want to bring multiple bikes out with you and you want something sturdy, yet somehow lightweight, at the back of your truck to bring you to where you need to go.Now, this bike rack is actually cool in that it has one, two, three points of contact where the bike is secured to this rack. So you have two over here at the frame, and one down here securing the seat posts. And it's actually a little bit more of a modernized design in that it has these easy straps. Evangeline: Hi, it's Evangeline from etrailer.com, and today we're looking at our Thule Hitching Post Pro 4-Bike Rack on our 2020 Toyota Tacoma. Now, this bike rack is pretty cool for if you'd want to take all four or multiple bikes out for a hike, for a ride, you want to bring your friends, your family's bikes somewhere, and you don't want to worry about it too much, you want something stable, something made in the USA, something simple and easy to use.So the bike is attached to this rack at three points, we have two over here over by the frame, so we'll just take those off and one down here by the seat post. So even with the straps off, it's pretty secured in there, so it won't fall off while you take the bike off. You just lift it up and through, and you're ready to go on your ride. Let's take a look at these cradles here, you can see here on the inside, there's some grooves just to help protect your brake line. It's nice and secure there, but you can also twist them around according to your bike frame, just to find the best fit. more

Now, this is great if you have a lot of bikes that you need to get somewhere, so you and your friends want to go on a biking trip. It has a pretty good variety of bikes that it can handle due to its different adjustment points. So another note here though is, you can have your heavier bikes over here on the inside and your lighter bikes over here. And since it is a tire mount, you could have your nice light carbon fiber bikes here because it won't work the frame.So when it comes to your heavier bikes, you would put them over here on the inside position, and it has a weight capacity of 60 pounds per bike. more

Now, this bike rack is really good if you want something super stable, that can carry a lot of weight, as well as it's very versatile with its wheel Mount. It can carry carbon fiber bikes without warping the frame as well as adjustability, so it can carry up to your children's bikes, up to your big, heavy electric bikes.Now let's take a look over here at the wheel cradle. Now, right here we have our nice small carbon fiber bike with a thin wheel, and the cradle can fit bikes up to 20 to 29 inches. So maybe your ten-year-old's bike, that will fit in there, as well as your large fat bikes. It has a maximum width of five inches, so your fat bike can sit right in there.Over here we have the hook. more

If you want to bring yourself and a friend or your spouse, or even your child out for a bike ride, you can carry both of your bikes securely with this tire mount. In fact, this tire mount is a pretty good idea if you have a carbon fiber bike that you don't warp the frame in, or if you have a really nice paint finish that you don't want to scratch, this would be a good idea. If you have fenders on your bike though, and like my bike has a basket, this would not fit that well. more

Hi, it's Evangeline from etrailer.com and today we're looking at this Thule Doubletrack platform-style two bike rack on our 2020 Toyota RAV4. Now this bike rack is needed if you want to take two bikes out for a trip, so you and maybe your spouse's bike or your friend's bike, and with these adjustable wheel mounts, even your children's bike can fit onto this bike rack. And if you have a carbon fiber though bike, or with a custom paint finish, these have frame mounts. So these wouldn't be that best of an option for that. But if you're not worried about that, and you just want to take your two bikes out, if they have fenders, this is great, and we'll keep everything securely in place. Extra securely with these. more

So today we're looking at the rack that can hold up to a total of two bikes. However, there's also a one bike version available, as well. So one of the main things that I really like about this rack, and what really separates it is the way it's going to secure your bike. So we're going to have two wheel hooks, one for each tire, and that's something you don't always see, a lot of times it's just one wheel hook and a small little strap, or something there at the back.This one would give me a little more peace of mind, especially with an expensive bike, knowing that it's really secure. more

It's going to be a wheel mount design, so it works out great for carbon fiber bikes like we have here today. But it has a really high capacity at 60 pounds, so you can even get some of those electric bikes on there. One thing I would recommend with electric bikes, is take that battery off if possible, you'll save weight, but also you'll save some of the stress that gets put on those batteries as you're going down the road.Now I prefer wheel mount styles, but sometimes those wheel mount styles aren't practical if you have fenders on your bike, so you may want to look at something like a frame mount design. more

So a lot of bike racks, whether it's a two or a four bike, they're heavy, they're steel, they're kind of a hassle to move back and forth when you're taking it off your vehicle and need to store it in the garage. But this one's aluminum, it's really lightweight, but it also does a really good job of carrying our bikes. Now with it being a two bike hanging style rack, one thing I would recommend is not carrying carbon fiber bikes on a hanging style rack. more

So this rack is going to be great for all types of bikes, but particularly those bikes with carbon fiber frames. And that's because it's going to hold the bike down or secure it using these wheel hooks. So we're not going to have to worry about any frame contact or our paint job getting messed up, everything like that.Now, a lot of times with these multi bike platform racks, there's an issue when you go to load a couple bikes on it. You don't have a ton of room here, and so a lot of times what can happen is your handlebars can kind of interfere with your other bike and kind of just make it a pain. more

Today, on our 2015 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Traveler Hitch Mounted Bike Rack.One of the big questions we get asked all the time, in regards to hitch mounted bike racks, is if you're still going to be able to have full hatch access to the back of your SUV. Now, this one does fold down out of the way. It gives us the ability to do that. First thing you want to do, is take this little thumb screw here, just back that off the turner to pull out the pen and pull the remainder of it out. This will drop down and we can open up our hatch. more

So this rack can hold up to a total of four bikes and right away, the first thing I noticed is where the rack is going to hold the bike in relation to our Highlander's back window. And to me, it's right there in that sweet spot. Whenever you're looking out of the rear view, you can still kind of keep an eye on your bikes, but they're not going to sit up so high that they're really going to block or affect your vision.So the way the rack works is really simple, and that's one of the things I like about it. So the rack that we have here today can carry up to a total of two bikes. However, if you do need to carry an extra one, there's also a three bike version available as well. So whats really nice about this setup, if you do need to get inside of your trunk whenever you are carrying your bikes it's really not a big deal, we're going to have enough clearance to be able to do that.One of the things that really separates this wreck from many of the others is that it's made from aluminum. So it's going to be really lightweight and easy to handle. more

Now the rack that we have here today can carry up to a total of two bikes, but if you need to carry more, there's a four bike version available as well. Now, something that's really cool about this setup is if we need to get inside of our trunk, even when we're carrying our bikes on the rack, we're still able to do so. And that's usually not the case for a lot of different racks. And even though we can access the trunk, but the rack here in the upright position, it could be a little challenging with this and the way to get heavy or real big objects in and out of the back of our Camry.But what we can do to make it easier is fold the rack down. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer today on our 2020 Toyota Camry, we're going to be taking a look at the Tuli hitching post pro four bike rack. And what's really nice about this setup too, is you're still going to have full access to your trunk. Even in this position, it's going to give us more than enough room to get whatever we may need and an out off the back. However, if you do have something really heavy or really large, this does fold down out of the way and gives us even more space. We moved down here and again, just pull this pin out and we're able to move it down. And then we have a ton of room to get those heavy or large objects in and out with ease. more

Rob: Hey, everybody. Rob here at etrailer.com, and today we're to be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro hanging style bike rack on our 2017 Toyota Highlander. Our Hitching Post Pro allows us to take up to four bikes with us, if we want to hit the trail with some family or some friends, maybe just taking a day trip to the park. But a hitch mounted bike rack is going to be one of the easiest ways, I think, to carry up to four bikes with you. It definitely beats cramming your bikes into the back hatch of your Highlander, and for me personally, it definitely beats a roof rack because I'm a little bit on the shorter side and I don't want to have to lift my bike up over my head to get it onto the bike rack on a roof. So a hitch mounted bike rack just makes it a lot easier to use.Now it is a hanging style bike rack, so we're going to have three points of contact. more
