Today on our 2013 Dodge Durango, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Titan 4 Bike Carrier, part number S63410. Now with our included adapter for the 2-inch hitch already installed, we'll go ahead and slide our bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike is secured to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the bike rack is 16 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 10-1/2 inches. We'll now go ahead and pull the switch here at the base of the rack which will allow us to tilt the mast down. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Avenger will be test fitting the SportRack 2 Bike Carrier, Part Number A30901. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. Line up to thread on the pinholes through an anti-rattle bolt through the pinholes and tighten it with a wrench. Now, let's go over some clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle fit together. There's about ten inches of ground clearance, closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about seven inches. We've added about 23 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

We can then move to the anti-rattle knob where well tighten it down, securing the bike rack to the vehicle. At this point we can go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the bike rack is 12 inches, and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle here at the anti-rattle knob is four inches. Well now go ahead and pull the hitch switch here at the top of the mast to bring out the dual arms, where we can then undo the straps to expose our cradles. more

SportRack EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2006 Dodge Magnum- Video
Today on our 2006 Dodge Magnum, well be test fitting the Sportrack 2 Hitch mounted bike carrier, Part # A30901. To mount this carrier to our vehicle, well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up the hitch pin hole, turn in our anti rattle bolt and tighten it down. Next well go over some clearance measurements. Weve got about 8 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the bike rack to the ground. Weve got about 5 inches of clearance between the closest part of the bike rack and the closest part of the vehicle. more

Thule Vertex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today, on our 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan we'll be test fitting the Thule Vertex four-bike carrier for 1-1/4 and 2-inch hitches, part number TH9029.With our vehicle equipped with a 2-inch hitch and our bike rack already pre-assembled, we'll go ahead and slide the bike rack shank directly into the receiver tube of the hitch lining up the hitch pinhole.Then, we'll install and tighten down the anti-rattle bolt. This is what our bike rack will look like in its stored position.Next, we'll go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the nearest point of the bumper to the nearest point of the base of the rack is 1 inch. With our bike rack in the stored position we add an additional 10 inches to the overall vehicle length, and from the lowest point of the bike rack we have 10-1/2 inches of ground clearance.Next, we'll go ahead and use the hitch switch at the base of the rack to tilt it away from the vehicle to gain rear cargo access. As you can see, with the bike rack tilted away from the vehicle we can still gain full rear cargo access.Now let's go ahead and close the door. We'll put our bike rack back into the upright locked position and use the hitch switch at the top of the mast to extend the carrying arms. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today, on our 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan were going to be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro folding and tilting four-bike carrier for inch-and a-quarter and 2-inch hitches, part number TH934XTR. For our vehicle equipped with a 2-inch hitch and our bike rack already pre-assembled, we can go ahead and slide the bike rack shank directly into the receiver tube of the hitch and lining up the hitch pinhole. Then, well install and tighen down our anti-rattle bolt. With our anti-rattle bolt tighened down you can see it really takes out any movement between the bike rack and the vehicle. Now lets go ahead and take a few measurements. From the nearest point of the bumper to the nearest point of the security loop we have 4 inches of clearance, and with our bike rack installed in the stored position we add an additional 15 inches to the overall vehicle length, and from the end of the bike rack we have 10 inches of ground clearance. more

Pro Series Q-Slot Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today, on our 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan were going to be test fitting the Pro Series Q-Slot platform style two-bike carrier for inch-and-a-quarter and 2-inch hitches, part number PS63134. With our vehicle equipped with a 2-inch hitch and our bike rack already pre-assembled, we can go ahead and slide the bike rack shank directly into the receiver tube of the hitch and install the anti-rattle bolt and install the pin and clip.Next, well go ahead and give you a few clearance measurements.From the closest point of the bumper to the closest point of the rack we have 5-1/2 inches. With our rack installed we can add an additional 22 inches to the overall length of the vehicle, and from the bottom of the bike rack we have 12-3/4 inches of ground clearance. Next, well go ahead and lower the platform on the rack and the center support bar. This will allow us rear cargo access. As you can see, with the bike platform down and the center suppor bar out of the way we still gain rear cargo access. more

Yakima SwingDaddy 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Dodge Journey- Video
Today we have a 2012 Dodge Journey and we'll be test fitting the Yakima Swing Daddy four, hitch mounted bike carrier, part number Y02422. To mount our carrier to our vehicle we'll fit the shank of the carrier into our receiver tube of our hitch, line up the hitch pinholes and tighten down the anti-rattle bolt. Now we can look over some clearance measurements. From the furthest point of our bumper to the closest point of the bike rack measures about 5 inches of rear clearance. We've added an overall length of 11 inches to the rear of the vehicle and we've got about 12 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the rack to the ground. Next we are ready to load our bike. more
