Now I just want to point out the tire size on our F-150 that we have here today is 265/70 R17. If you have a different tire size equipped on your F-150, you may want to refer to our application guide on our website as these tire chains may not work for you. Here's our chains already laid out on the ground here. As you can see, there is a ladder pattern going across by the horizontal bars that go across the tread of our tires. You can see why they call it ladder pattern because it looks like the rungs or the steps on a ladder. Now on the individual rungs of the chain here, you can see the V-bar. more

You can see those square lengths standing right up there getting ready to bite into the ice or the snow or whatever the case may be. Titan Chains Tire Chains with Cams Review - 2012 Ford F-150

Today, we are taking a look at and installing the titan snow chains with cams, part number TC3831CAM. These snow chains are going to have the ladder pattern design with the v-bar link. This is going to be for our tire size of 35x12.50x17. You can see that you are going to have those durable chains and cam tensioners to help tighten everything up. Those durable chains are going to stand up against the weather and any kind of corrosion that may happen. Another nice thing about these is they are going to have the twisted-link design, which is going to add to the durability and traction on the road with those starts and stops. With these chains in particular, they are going to have the v-bars welded onto them. These are going to add a really aggressive traction that is going to help on thick ice or packed snow (also great for deep snow). These chains are going to be really easy to put in place and make sure that you are going to remain safe on the road. Keep in mind that these chains are going to have built-in cam tighteners that are going to make it easier to achieve a tight and secure fit. Rubber or chain adjusters can also be used for additional security and making sure that they get nice and tight if there is still a little bit of slack. That is going to be the titan chain multi-arm rubber chain adjuster, part number TCMA2. The thing that we are going to do with it when we first pull it out of the package is go ahead and string it all out and make sure we do not have any kinks or twists in our chains at all. more

As you can see here, we just pulled our chain out of our box and it's all tangled up. Let's go ahead and untangle it. You want to make sure that all the kinks and everything is out of the chain. Once you have that done, we'll go ahead and make sure that the sharp part of the inner chains is facing outwards. With it laid out like this, all we've got to do is pick up the outside and lay it over the tire. We'll go ahead and hook up the back side to the second link. more

First you're going to lay them out so that the buckles are facing inwards, and that your tensioners will be on inside for when you lay them out. All your buckles and hooks are facing outwards, and your tensioners are on the outside. Now you'll get your hook; go ahead and connect the inside of your chains using the hook to your long lead. more

Today on our 2005 Ford F150 SuperCrew Cab, we will be installing the Titan Snow Tire Chains with the Diamond Pattern and Square Link, part number TC2326. These chains are made from a sturdy, durable alloy construction, which features a diamond pattern that offers more tire coverage. The square links form cross chains, which provide great traction in the snow and excellent grip and stopping power on ice. With this part number, you're going to get two chains, one for each side of the vehicle, and a little carrying case for easy storage. The Titan tire chains have a speed rating of 30 miles per hour. These chains are SAE class S chains. Since our truck is rear wheel drive, we're installing these on the rear tires. Today we'll be using tire size 265 70r17, so to begin our install, we want to go ahead and lay our chain out like this and try to remove all the kinks and all the twists that we can before we install our tire. more

Today on our 2005 F150 SuperCrew Cab, we will be installing the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW3027C. These chains are designed with a low profile that gives you a smooth ride, which makes it perfect for occasional use in snowy or icy conditions. Since our truck is rear-wheel drive, we are installing these on the rear tires. For our tire size today, we've got a 265 70r17. Now we've went ahead and laid our tire chain on a flat surface, just to make sure that we don't have any knots or kinks in it. We want to make sure that our tension lever is on the outside like it is, and we've also got this little indicator here that shows which way our tire is going to be rotating, so we want to have that on the outside as well. We'll go ahead and pick up our tire chain and we'll place it over our tire, and we'll make sure it's evenly space on both sides of our tire. more

We'll go ahead and cover things to look out for when you put them into place. First off, on these hooks right here on the cross bars, these points as well as the V-bar links right here need to be away from the tire. Look underneath the chain, the smooth surface here should be touching the tire. more

This vehicle is primarily rear wheel drive, so we'll be installing the tire chains on the back tires. Now to begin our test fit, we'll need to lay the chains flat out on the ground to undo any kinks or tangles. This is extremely important to get a good fit around the tire. We'll drape the tire chains over the tires with the hooks facing outward so they don't damage the tire. We'll then move to the back side of the tire and hook the tire chains using the hook and ring. more

Today on our 2006 FordF150, well be test fitting the Glacier cable snow tire chains for light trucks, part number pw3027c; well be test fitting on 265/70-17 tires. Then this vehicle is primarily rear wheel drive so well be installing the tire chains on the rear tires. Now before we begin our test fit well first need to lay the chains flat onto the ground to undo any kinks or tangles. Well then drag the tire chain over the tire and move to the inside of the tire where we will connect the male and female end of the tire chain. Well then move to the outside of the tire where youll notice the yellow tag indicating what tire the tire chain should be on. Well then again slide the male and female end of the tire chain and use the tensioner to tie it down to secure the chain to the vehicle. more
