Best 2012 Jeep Wrangler Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitches available for the 2007 to 2017 Jeep Wrangler. Now we've tested all of these hitches on numerous different Jeeps that we have here around the shop, and basically each one of them is going to have strengths and weaknesses depending on what you're going to do with your Jeep.Now later in the video we're going to get into some specifics on each of the hitches, the measurements and things like that. But if you're just interested in knowing which is going to be better for what, we can handle that now and save you some time.Basically, if you're into off-roading, departure angle is usually an issue. That's how steep of an angle on the back of your Jeep you can come off and slide down a hill. If that's a concern, either the Etrailer part number E98835 or the CURT part number 13432, they're going to be best. Basically, the receiver tube opening here on each of the hitches is going to be even with your bumper. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Jeep Wrangler- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Wrangler were going to be installing the Curt Trailer Hitch; part number 9883544. Heres what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Well go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch; such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 20 inches. As you can see here the edge of our receiver is pretty well even with the edge of the bumper. Now from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the spare tire is approximately 10 inches. Now lets go ahead and install our hitch. Well begin here by pointing out our four mounting locations. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Jeep Wrangler 75515- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Wrangler, we'll be installing draw-tite hitch part number 75515. Here a few measurements to help you in selecting accessories. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost part of this spare tire is 6". From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 19". This will help you in selecting accessories. Now, we're going to go ahead with our installation.To begin our install, we'll locate the four mounting bolt holes neither pre existing on the wrangler, we'll be using these four holes here in the bumper. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Jeep Wrangler 13432- Video
Today on this 2012 Jeep Wrangler we're going to install part number 13432 from Curt. Alright, now this is what the hitch looks like when installed in the vehicle. Next, we'll give you some measurements that will give you an idea to help you out in selecting some accessories. Now, this vehicle has been outfitted with aftermarket tires and wheels so it's going to be off from stock quite a bit. In this case, from the top receiver opening down to the ground is going to be 22-3/4 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper is going to be 2-1/2 inches. more
