Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Jeep Compass- Video
Rob: Hey everybody, it's Rob here at Etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the CURT Class three custom-fit trailer hitch receiver on our 2019 Jeep Compass. Now we know everybody wants to look at it and go over some of the features, so we're going to go ahead and do that first, but if you stick around to the end of the video, we're also going to show you how to get it installed so you can have the confidence to do it at home. But we do have our hitch in place, and I think it's a really good looking hitch, mainly because the crosstube's completely hidden, so the only thing we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out of the bottom of our Jeep, gives it almost a factory OEM type look to it and again not have that big bar hanging down below our Jeep, distracting from the looks. But it is a class three, so it is going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube openings, so we're going to have a really wide variety of options when it comes to accessories that we can mount up.Obviously everybody knows you can tow a trailer with a trailer hitch, put a ball mount in there, hookup really easy but at the same time if we want to hit the trails, go with some friends, the park, something like that, we can take some bikes with us. Or for going on a road trip, we can make some room on the inside of our Compass, move some of that gear to the outside with the cargo carrier, but regardless of how you're going to be using your hitch, all the accessories you're going to use are going to mount to the hitch pinhole here on the side. Our CURT Hitch is going to accept a standard 5-8 pin and clip. more

Best 2019 Jeep Compass Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Today we're gonna be taking a look at the best trailer hitch options for your 2019 Jeep Compass.Here on the bottom we have the Draw-Tite, and here on top we have the Curt. First noticeable difference is gonna be how they mount onto the vehicle. This is gonna use one hole, or our Draw-Tite is gonna use one hole on the bottom of our frame rail and two on the sides, where our Curt is gonna use two holes on the bottom of the frame rail and two on the sides.Our Draw-Tite is gonna be visible off the bottom of the vehicle, where a Curt is actually gonna be hidden, which is gonna require some fascia trimming.Our Draw-Tite is gonna have a pre-mounted bracket for any wiring accessories where your Curt's not gonna have that. With our Draw-Tite, safety chain loops. You can see we're gonna have plate style. We got plenty of room for different size hooks, but it is a plate that is welded to the bottom of the hitch, where with our Curt, it's gonna be a little less discreet. more
