Hollywood Racks Traveler Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Chevrolet Traverse- Video
Today, on our 2012 Chevrolet Traverse, we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler 4 bike rack, part number HR8500. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. We'll line up the pinholes, enter our anti-rattle bolt into the pinholes and tighten it down with a wrench. With our Hollywood Racks Traveler secured to our Traverse, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the 2 fit together. We have about 16 1/2 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of our bike rack to the closest part of our Traverse is about 1/4 of an inch away. With the cradle arms folded down, we've added about 6 inches to the overall length of our Traverse. We can now pull the black pin at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out. With the cradle arms out, we've added about 29 1/2 inches to the overall length of our Traverse. To access the cargo area, we can pull the black pin at the base of the bike rack and tilt the mast down. more

Kuat NV Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Chevrolet Traverse- Video
Today on our 2012 Chevrolet Traverse well be test fitting the Kuat NV platform style aluminum two bike rack part #: N101. Well begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. Well line up the pinholes, insert our pin through our pinholes and secure it and lock it on the other side. We can then turn the black knob at the back of the shank to engage the anti-rattle device. Now with the Kuat NV secured to our Traverse well go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 16 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the carrier with the platform folded up. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Chevrolet Traverse- Video
Today on our 2012 Chevrolet Traverse well be test fitting the Thule Hitching post bike carrier, part number th934xtr. To mount the carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up the hitch pin hole, insert our anti rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. Next were going to check for rear vehicle access. Well remove the pin at the base of the bike rack so we can tilt it down. Then well open the cargo door of our Traverse to make sure we can still access the cargo area and open the door. more

Thule Vertex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Chevrolet Traverse- Video
Today on our 2012 Chevrolet Traverse well be test fitting the Thule Vertex four-bike carrier, part number TH9029. Now to begin our test fit well simply place the bike rack shank into the hitch, clamp hitch pinhole and install our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. Now well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our bike rack ground clearance is 17 inches and from the closed point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 1-1/2 five inches. We can now go ahead and pull the hitch switch at the bottom of the bike rack mast to tilt the mast down. more

Today on our 2012 Chevrolet Traverse, well be test fitting the Thule Parkway 2-Bike carrier part number TH958. Now to begin our test fit, well place the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install the anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight our bike racks secured to the vehicle. Now well go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is a mere inch and our ground clearance at the bike rack is 16 inches. Now well go ahead and pull the pin at the bottom of the bike rack mast and open our cargo door. more

SportRack Escape 3 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Chevrolet Traverse- Video
Today on our 2012 Chevrolet Traverse, we are going to test fit the Sportrack Escape 3 bike rack part number a30403. With our bike rack already pre-assembled and our vehicle already equipped with a 2-inch hitch, we can go ahead and slide the bike rack shank directly into the 2-inch hitch on the vehicle. Then we'll install and tighten down our anti-inadible and install our safety clip. As you can see with the anti-inadible tighten down it really takes out any rattle or movement between the bike rack and the hitch. Alright with our bike rack loaded, we'll go ahaed and show you what it looks like in its stored position. We'll remove the hinge pin and fold the arms down. more
