Ryan: Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. Up here, we're going to have the Draw-Tite and right here, we're going to have the Curt.Now, before we get too carried away talking about the differences and similarities between the two, I'd like to point out which one I would personally choose for my own Malibu. I think I would go with the Curt, and that really just has to do with the appearance. That's why I would choose it. In my opinion, it's going to look a little bit more put together, especially the collar I think looks better. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Chevrolet Malibu- Video
Alright today on this 2012 Chevrolet Malibu we're gonna install part number 36479 from Draw-tite. This will also install part number 90194 from hidden hitch. Alright this is what the hitch looks like when its installed on the car. Next, we'll give you out some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outside edge of the bumper on this spectacular car is going to be 7 and a quarter inches and from this top of the receiver opening down to the ground would be 9 and a half inches.
