Thule Sonic XXL Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2006 Mini Cooper

Today on our 2006 Mini Cooper, we'll be test fitting the Thule Sonic XXL rooftop cargo box, with 22 cubic feet of space, in metallic silver, part number TH636S. With the Thule Rapid Traverse roof rack system already assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo box onto the vehicle's load bars. After adjusting the clamps to fit over each bar, we'll unlock the box and open the lid, exposing the two closest knobs. We'll turn the knobs to bring the clamps up around tightly against the bars. You'll know when the clamps have been fully tightened down when the knobs start to make a ratcheting sound. We'll now move to the other side of the vehicle and repeat the same process. more

Today on our 2006 Mini Cooper we'll be test fitting the Thule Sonic Medium Rooftop Cargo Box with 13 Cubic Feet of space, Glossy Black in color, part number th634b. Now our vehicle is equipped with the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System so we'll begin our test fit by first placing the cargo box onto the vehicle's load bars. After positioning the clamps to fit over each bar we'll unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. We'll then turn the knobs to bring the clamps up around tightly against the bars. Youll know when the clamps have been fully tightened down when the knobs start to make the clicking sound. We'll know move to the other side of the vehicle and repeat the same process. more

Today on our 2006 Mini Cooper we'll be test fitting the Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box with sixteen cubic feet of space, matte black in color, part number TH615. Now our vehicle is already equipped with a Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack system so we'll begin our test fit by first placing the cargo box onto the vehicle's load bars. We'll then unlock the box and open the lid exposing the four slots in the bottom of the box. Remember, this box does only open from one side so you'll need to position it on the passenger's side of the vehicle. We'll now take the clamps and slide them down through the slots over top of each bar. We'll then tighten the knobs to bring the clamps up around tightly against both bars. more

Today on our 2006 Mini Cooper we'll be test fitting the Thule Pulse Medium Rooftop Cargo Box with 14 Cubic Feet of space, Matte Black in color, part number th614. With the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System already assembled onto our vehicle we'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo box onto the vehicle's load bars. We'll unlock the box and open the lid exposing the four slots in the bottom of the box. We'll take the clamps and slide them down through the slots over top of each bar turning the knobs to bring the clamps up around tightly against the bars. Now with everything all tightened down and secured you can see that we can easily access the rear hatch of our Mini Cooper with the Pulse Large secured. That will complete today's test fit for the Thule Pulse Medium Rooftop Cargo Box with 14 Cubic Feet of space, Matte Black in color, part number th614 on our 2006 Mini Cooper. more

Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2006 Mini Cooper

Today on our 2006 Mini Cooper, we'll be test fitting the Thule Pulse Alpine rooftop cargo box, with 11 cubic feet of space, matte black in color, part number TH613. Now our vehicle is equipped with the Thule Rapid Traverse roof rack system, so we'll begin our test fit by first placing the cargo box onto the vehicle's load bars. Now we did have to remove the antenna in order to get the box onto the roof, and we removed it by simply untwisting it. We can now unlock the box and open the lid, exposing the four slots in the bottom of the box. We'll then take the clamps and slide them down through the slots over the top of each bar, and turn the knob to bring the clamp up around tightly against the load bars. With everything all tightened down and secured, you can see that with the Pulse Alpine's long and aerodynamic shape, it does come in contact with the rear hatch of the vehicle. more

With the Thule Rapid Traverse roof rack system on our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing the cargo box onto the vehicles load bars. After positioning the clamps to fit over each bar well unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. Well then turn the knobs to bring the clamps up around tightly against each bar. With this done we can move to the other side of the vehicle where we can again unlock it and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. Now this double-sided opening lid also enables you to easily load and unload your cargo from either side of the vehicle. more

Now this box's dual sided opening lid also enables you to easily load and unload your cargo from either side of the vehicle. more
