Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Ford Taurus

Today on our 2014 Ford Taurus, we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack Vortex Arrow roof rack system using part numbers RRVA126B-2, RRRLKVA, and Dk229. With a rack assembled according to the manufacturers instructions, we'll begin our test fit by opening our front doors and placing the front portion of our roof rack on to the roof line of our vehicle. Per Rhino Rack's fit guide, we'll measure 30 cm from the rear edge of our windshield to the front edge of our foot pad. We'll do this measurement on both sides to be sure we have our feet in line with each other. With our feet lined up, we'll bring the clamps around the underside of our roof line, and move side to side, tightening up a little bit at a time. With the front portion of our roof rack secure, we'll close our front doors, open our rear doors, and grab the rear half of our rack. We'll place it on to our rear roof line, and we'll take a second measurement. This time it will be 70 cm from the center of our front bar to the center of our rear bar. more
