Yakima StickUp 2 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 GMC Yukon XL- Video
Today on our two-thousand-thirteen GMC Yukon XL well be test fitting the Yakima Stickup two bike carrier, part number y02420. To begin our test set well slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. Line up our pin holes and thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pin hole and tighten with a wrench. Now we can go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements. We have about twenty-two and a half inches of ground clearance and the closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle is four inches. With the platform in its folded position weve added about fourteen inches to the overall length of our vehicle. Well now go ahead and pull the red know on the left hand side of the carrier to tilt the platform down. Now with the platform down this will allow some access to our cargo area. With the platform unfolded weve added about thirty-four inches of additional length to the rear of our vehicle. To load the bike well unfold the mast by pulling the red knob at the base, well raise the frame hooks to the top of the mast and undo the cradle strap. more

The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about six inches. Today, on our 2013 GMC Yukon XL, well be test fitting the Thule Doubletrack Platform-Style Two Bike Carrier for both 1-1/4 inch and two inch hitches, part number TH990XT. Now, to begin our test fit, well slide the bike rack shank into the hitch. Line up the pin hole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. Today on our 2013 GMC Yukon XL well be test fitting the Softride Dura parallelogram tilting bike carrier, part number SR26247. To mount our carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up the hitch pinholes, thread in our anti-rattle locking bolt and tighten it down using a wrench. Then well fit the lock over the end. Next well go over a couple of clearance measurements. Weve got about 23 inches of ground clearance, four and a half inches of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the vehicle and weve added about 37 inches of length to the rear of the vehicle.Now were ready to load up our bikes. more

Thule Apex 4 Swing Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 GMC Canyon- Video
Today on our 2012 GMC Canyon well be test fitting the Thule Apex Swing Forward bike carrier part #: th9027. To begin our test fit well install our bike rack shank into the hitch making sure that the integrated locking hitch pin is pulled out. With the shank into the hitch well push the integrated locking hitch pin in and slide it in until the pin locks in place. After giving it a slight tug well turn our anti-rattle knob securing our bike rack to the vehicle. At this point we can give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 16 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the end of the vehicle is 6 inches. more

Swagman Titan Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 GMC Canyon- Video
Today on our 2012 GMC Canyon well be test fitting the Swagman Titan 4 bike carrier for both inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitches part #: s63410. Our vehicles equipped with a 2 inch hitch, so with our adaptor plate in were ready to fit it to the vehicle. Well simply install the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install our anti-rattle bolt. Well then put the clip in on the other side of the bolt securing our bike rack to the vehicle. Now well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at this bike rack is 19 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the vehicle is 11 inches. more

Today on our 2012 GMC Canyon well be test fitting the Thule Apex 4 bike carrier, part #: th9025. A quick note about this bike rack is it can be used in both an inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitches, however if youre using it with a class 1 hitch you are limited to 2 bikes. To begin our test fit, well slide our bike rack shank into the hitch, well pull the integrated locking hitch pin and as we slide the shank into the hitch the pin will snap into place into the hitch pinhole. Then after snugging that up well go to our anti-rattle knob and tighten it down, securing our bike rack to the vehicle. And now well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 17 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 7 inches. more

SportRack EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 GMC Canyon- Video
Today on our 2012 GMC Canyon well be test fitting the Sport Rack 2 bike hitch mounted bike rack part #: a30901. A quick not about this bike rack, it can be used both with inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitches. Now, our vehicles equipped with a 2 inch hitch so using the included spacer block were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up our hitch pinhole and insert our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle and we can give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 19 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 10 inches. more

SportRack Evader Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 GMC Canyon- Video
Today on our 2012 GMC Canyon well be test fitting the Sport Rack Evader 3 bike carrier for both inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitches part #: a30403xt. To begin our test fit well simply slide the bike rack carrier shank into our hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle and well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 16 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 8 inches. Well now go ahead and fold the mast of the bike rack down and open our tail gate. And as you can see, we can open our tail gate completely with this bike rack. more

Pro Series Q-Slot Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 GMC Canyon- Video
Today on our 2012 GMC Canyon well be test fitting part #: ps63134, the Pro Series, Q-slot platform style bike carrier. To begin our test fit well slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install our hitch pin. We can then put our safety pin on the other side of our hitch pin which will secure our bike rack to the vehicle, and we can go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our bike rack has about 19 inches of ground clearance and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle theres approximately 10 inches. Well now go ahead and unfold the platform and see if we can open our tailgate. And as you can see, we can open our tailgate with this bike rack loaded. more

Today on our 2012 GMC Canyon, well be test fitting the Thule hitching post pro, part number th934xtr. This bike rack is capable of being used in both 1-1/4 and 2 hitches, although when using the class 1 hitch you are limited to two bikes. With our vehicle equipped with a 2 hitch and our adapter sleeve of our bike rack installed, we are ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our anti-rattle bolt, and that will secure our bike rack to the vehicle, and we can go ahead and give you a few measurements. Now our ground clearance with this bike rack is 15-1/2 and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 10. We can now tilt the mast of our bike rack back to see if we can open our tailgate. more

Yakima Holdup Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2010 GMC Terrain- Video
Today on this 2010 GMC Terrain, were going to do test fit of part number Y02433 from Yakima. This is our Holdup 2 Bike Rack. Well go ahead and start our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch, well tighten down the anti-rattle bolt and put the safety pin on the other side. Okay, with our bike rack installed, well go ahead and give you some measurements that will give you an idea of clearance between the bicycle rack and the bumper and the ground. The closest point between the rear well and the bumper is going to be 4 inches. Lets go ahead and unfold the bike rack and well give you two more measurements on ground clearance. more

Yakima DoubleDown 5 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 GMC Canyon- Video
Today we are going to show you how the Yakima double down bike rack; part number y02425 looks and fits on our 2012 GMC Canyon. Our 2012 Canyon came equipped with a factory installed 2 receiver hitch, so weve gone ahead and put the adapter sleeve on our double down to accommodate. Well simply slide the bike rack into the trailer hitch and well go ahead and install the provided threaded bolt that will not only secure the rack into the hitch, but also work as an anti-rattle device. You can see when the pin fully tightened down theres virtually no movement between the bike rack and the receiver hitch. With the bike rack now installed weve got 15-1/2 of clearance from the ground to the lowest point of our bike rack, and from the center of the tailgate to the upright bar, weve got 16 of clearance. The double down bike rack also comes with a trigger finger release button here, which allows our bike rack to fold away from the rear of the vehicle, and you can see with the rack folded down, we can fully lower our tailgate. more

Thule Doubletrack Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 GMC Canyon- Video
Today we're going to show you how the Thule Doubletrack Platform-Style Bike Carrier, product number TH990XT looks and fits on a 2012 GMC Canyon. Our 2012 Canyon came equipped with a factory installed 2-inch trailer receiver hitch, so we've already installed our 2-inch adapter sleeve onto our bike rack. To install the bike rack, simply slide it in the receiver hitch. Align the hole in the bike rack with the hole in the receiver and install the provided anti-rattle bolt. The anti-rattle bolt not only provides security for our bike rack but also takes up a majority of the rattle and sway from the bike rack once it's installed in the hitch. We do need to tighten this bolt using a 3/4-inch wrench. more
