Rob: Rob 00:00:00 here at etrailer.com. And today you're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite Class III custom-fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, on our 2008 Toyota RAV4. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed, the cross tube is going to be visible, but it kind of darts back at an angle. So it's less visible than some. And the main thing we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out. Now it is a Class III, so it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. more

Bob: Bob here at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the etrailer class 3 custom fit trailer hitch receiver on our 2008 Toyota RAV4. This is what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The cross tube isn't going to be visible underneath, but the flat black finish on our hitch blends in really well, and its not going to be as noticeable. But the main thing we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out, and since it is a class 3, it is going to give us that 2" x 2" receiver tube opening, which is going to have the widest variety of accessories that we can mount up. Whether we want to make more room on the inside and put a cargo carrier, we're going to move all our gear to the outside, or if we want to take a bike ride, we can put a bike rack in there and take some bikes with us, or if we need to move a small trailer, we can put a ball out and tow a trailer with it. But regardless of whatever we're going to be using it for, we're going to mount all of our accessories to the hitch pin hole here on the side.Now, the hitch is going to accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip. more

Now, here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The cross tube is going to sit right below the bumper and it is going to be visible, but the main thing we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out. Since it's class 3, it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. It's going to have the widest variety of options when it comes to accessories that we can mount up. For you to make some room on the inside, we can mount a cargo carrier, put all that gear on the outside of our vehicle, make some room for passengers or pets, or if you want to take a bike ride, we could put a bike rack in here, that way we can hit the trail. more

Today on our 2008 Toyota RAV4, we're going to install part number 75432 fromDraw-Tite. This is what your hitch looks like when it's installed on the vehicle. Next,we'll go ahead and give you some measurements that'll help you out in selecting someaccessories, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the center ofthe hitch pin to the outside edge of the spare tire, the distance is going to be 6-1/4".From the top of the receiver opening, down to the ground, is going to be 12-1/4".I'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. We're going to start off underneath the vehicle, and we're going to point out themounting holes that we'll be using to attach the hitch to the vehicle. The first thingwe're going to do is remove the tie-down brackets from the driver's side of the vehicle,and then we're going to clean out the remaining threaded holes in the frame. more

Today on this 2008 Toyota RAV4, we're going to install part number 70785 fromHidden Hitch. This is what your hitch looks like when it's installed on the vehicle. Next we'll go ahead and give you some measurements that will help you out whenselecting some accessories, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or cargo carrier. Fromthe center of the hitch pin to your outside edge of the spare tire, the distance is goingto 6-1/4", and from the top of the receiver opening down to the ground, is going to be12-1/4". I'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. From the center of the hitch pin opening to theedge of the spare tire cover, we're looking at a distance of 6". Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Toyota RAV4- Video
Today on this 2008 Toyota RAV4 we are going to be installing Curt hitch part number 13509. Before we get started with our hitch installation we are going to give you a few pictures of what the hitch is going to look like on the vehicle and I will also give you a couple of final installed dimensions that will help make choosing your hitch accessories a little bit easier. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is going to measure 13 inches. From the center of the pin hole to clear the spare tire carrier on the back of the vehicle is going to measure eight inches. Now we will move on to the installation. 00:31 more
