Hey, everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2018 Lincoln MKZ, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver. Before we get into that, though, let's take a minute, check it out, and make sure it's gonna be the right hitch for you. So by putting a trailer hitch on the back of your Lincoln, it's gonna help open up your opportunities on what you're gonna be able to do with your MKZ. Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Lincoln MKZ, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Sportframe trailer hitch receiver. But before we do that, why don't we check it out and make sure that this is the right one for you. So right off the bat, the first thing that comes to my mind when thinking about a trailer hitch for an MKZ is how it's gonna look. These are really sharp cars and you don't want a giant hitch on the back of it being really noticeable and things like that. And this one does a pretty good job of blending in, even though it is completely visible. more

You know, these Lincolns are really sharp cars and you're not gonna want a big giant hitch kinda hanging down on the bottom, being a big eyesore. And that's not the case at all with this one. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Lincoln MKZ - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2011 Lincoln MKZ, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Draw-Tite Custom Fit Class I Trailer Hitcher Receiver, part number 24865. This is what our hitch is going to look like installed. As you can see, it offers a nice clean look. Our crosstube is going to completely hidden up behind our rear fascia. The only thing we're going to be adding is our receiver tube opening here and the safety chain connection points. Now, this is a class I hitch, so this is going to work out good for your 2-bike racks. It's going to do work out good for small utility trailers or even your smaller cargo carriers. It has safety chain connection points here which are a rounded steel stock. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Lincoln MKZ - Hidden Hitch- Video
Today on our 2014 Lincoln MKZ, we're going to review and install hidden hitch, clasp 1, 1 1/4 inch, receiver 2 hitch, part number 60322. Now here's what our hitch's going to look like once installed. As you can see, we've got a square, cross-tube design and a fully welded construction with a nice black, powder-coated finish. This is our clasp 1, 1 1/4 inch by 1 1/4 inch receiver tube as the half inch pre-drill hole, along with chain hold downs. This hitch is capable of up to 200 pounds of tongue weight and 2000 pounds of tow capacity. Next, I'll give you a couple measurements to assist when you select your accessories for your new hitch, such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch-pin hole, to the outermost edge of the bumper is 4 1/2 inches. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Lincoln MKZ - Curt- Video
Today on our 2014 Lincoln MKZ we're going to review and install the CURT class two 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number C12091. Here's with our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. It's got a square or rectangular crosstube and a fully welded construction. What's really nice is that our crosstube is mainly hidden behind the rear fascia. Here out towards the end of our fascia, though, is our 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" class two receiver tube, 1/2" pre-drilled holes on each side of our receiver tube, along with our chain hold downs. This hitch is capable of up to 350 pounds of tongue weight and 3,500 pound tow capacity. Next I'll give you a couple measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. more

Today on our 2012 Lincoln MKZ, we'll be installing the draw tite hitch part number 24865. This is what our hitch will look like once it is installed. Next we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 5 3/4 inches. From the the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 11 1/2 inches. Now let's go ahead with the installation. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Lincoln MKZ - Curt- Video
Today on this 2013 Lincoln MKZ we're going to install part number C12091 from Curt. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on the car. Next we'll give you some measurements that'll help you out in selecting some accessories such as a cargo carrier or a bicycle rack. From the center of the hitch pin opening to the very edge of the bumper is about 6 3/8". From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 10 1/2". Now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First thing we need to do is go ahead and remove the lower body fascia. more
