etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Jeep JK Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Hey, everybody, how's it going Today, we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver here on a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited. So this is what our trailer hitch looks like installed on our vehicle here. Now, the part we can see, the receiver tube, is going to have a nice matte powder-coated finish, which is going to help it blend in well with the vehicle, and also, do a good job of helping protect the hitch from rust and corrosion being that it is on the outside and the underside of our vehicle. Almost everything else is going to be hidden behind the bumper here, which is going to provide us with a very factory-like finish. So, adding a trailer hitch to your Jeep Wrangler here, it's going to be an excellent option because it's going to make your vehicle that much more versatile. Now, we can obviously use a trailer hitch for towing, but if we wanted to free up some space inside the vehicle for those long road trips, or we just wanted to hit the trails, it would easily be able to attach either a hitch mounted bike rack, or hitch mounted cargo carrier. more

Hey, everybody, how's it going Today, we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver here on a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited. So this is what our trailer hitch is gonna look like installed on our Jeep here. Now, there's a couple things you're gonna notice. Number one, most, everything is actually hidden behind the bumper here so the only thing we're really going to be able to see is the receiver tube. And what we can see has a nice, shiny, black powder-coated finish, which is going to help it blend in well with the vehicle. Now, a couple of things that Draw-Tite does that I really like, number one, this receiver tube is much longer than some of the other options available for this vehicle. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver here on a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited. So this is what our trailer hitch is gonna look like installed. Now our trailer hitch actually attaches to the crossbeam behind the bumper here. Therefore everything is pretty much hidden. The only thing we are going to be able to see is the receiver tube opening. And this has a nice, shiny black powder coated finish. more

Rob here at etrailer.com, and today we're going to be taking a look at the etrailer Class III Custom-fit Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK.Here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. It is going to be the shorter receiver tube, so it's going to come right to the bumper and then be pretty much flush with it right here. It's going to have a really nice flat black look to it, so it's going to blend in nicely, really, regardless of what color jeep you have, since it's going to be on the bottom. Now since it's a Class III, it's going to give us that two-inch by two-inch receiver tube opening, which is going to give the widest variety of options when it comes to accessories, whether we need it for a recreational purpose, like a bike rack or a cargo carrier to free up some space on the inside, or if we want to put a ball mount in so we can tow a trailer. But regardless of however we're going to use it, we're going to mount all of our accessories to the hitch pin hole here on the side.Our hitch is going to accept a standard five-eighths pin and clip. Now, these are not included with the hitch, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to make sure your accessories are going to be nice and secure. more

Offering the 2" by 2" receiver tube opening, its part number is 9883544.Now here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, it offers a nice clean appearance. It's more similar to what you see out of a factory hitch on one of the Wranglers. Now this is a Class 3 hitch, which means it has the 2" by 2" receiver tube opening. Makes it a very, very versatile hitch. more

Best 2018 Jeep JK Wrangler Unlimited Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitches available for the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited. Now we've tested all of these hitches on numerous different Jeeps that we have here around the shop, and basically each one of them is going to have strengths and weaknesses depending on what you're going to do with your Jeep.Now later in the video we're going to get into some specifics on each of the hitches, the measurements and things like that. But if you're just interested in knowing which is going to be better for what, we can handle that now and save you some time.Basically, if you're into off-roading, departure angle is usually an issue. That's how steep of an angle on the back of your Jeep you can come off and slide down a hill. If that's a concern, either the etrailer part number E98835 or the CURT part number 13432, they're going to be best. Basically, the receiver tube opening here on each of the hitches is going to be even with your bumper. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Draw-Tite Max Frame Custom Fit Class III trailer hitch receiver, offering the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, it's part number is 76104.Now this is what our hitch is going to look like installed. As you can see the receiver tube opening comes out past the end of the bumper slightly. This is really going to be a benefit when it comes to accessories in your hitch and getting them past the spare tire. Other hitch designs for this model have it tucked in a little but further, which has its advantages for off road purposes and things like that, but if you're hauling bike racks, cargo carriers, the Class III design's going to work out really well, there's a lot of options available and they should be out past the edge of that tire if you have a stock tire.Now to secure all of those items in place, you'll always want to use the larger pinhole that's located closer to the front of the vehicle, it's 5/8ths of an inch in diameter. You can see there's plenty of room there, so regardless of what type of accessory you want to secure your items with, locking hitch pins, anti-rattle bolts, hitch immobilizers, really any of those are going to work out well. The smaller pinhole located a little bit closer to the rear of the vehicle, that's for use only with the J pin stabilization system, which is another form of anti-rattle device.Now, you'll see the plate style safety chain connection points here, those are going to be nice, large and open. more
