Speaker 1: Today on our 2009 Honda Fit we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt class one trailer hitch receiver, part number C11064.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed, cross tube is visible with this hitch. However, the hitch does sit nice and tucked in underneath the bumper fascia, so you're not gonna have to worry about hitting your legs or shins on it when loading and unloading the vehicle. It's gonna be a class one, it's gonna be an inch and a quarter by an inch and a quarter. Your hitch pin hole is gonna be half inch in diameter, so you're gonna see it's gonna have a reinforced collar to give you a little extra stability on your receiver tube. It's gonna have a ring style safety chain loops, give you plenty of room for different types of safety chain hooks.As you can see, it also comes with a hitch pin and clip. You're gonna have a 200-pound max tongue weight, which is the downward pressure on the inside of the receiver tube. more

Best 2009 Honda Fit Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for the 2009 Honda Fit. Our most popular is going to be the Draw-Tite Class I, that part number is 24826 and we'll follow that up with the Curt Class I, part number C11064. Now you can see there is quite a bit of a difference here in the design of our hitches overall. The Curt has a couple of arms that are going to come up on each side to a single connection point. Then there is a plate that is going to run underneath the vehicle and it offers two more connection points underneath the spare tire well in the back of the car. Now the Draw-Tite is going to use already existing holes. We're going to have two on each side that mount in however, you'll see the Draw-Tite with this large bend, this is made to go around. It is going to go under and around the exhaust, which sits right here, where the Curt, the exhaust is going to come out right here, so we don't have that extra piece that comes down and around. Now cosmetically on the rear of the vehicle, you're going to see maybe this whole cross tube area. more

Today, on our 2009 Honda Fit, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Draw-Tite Custom Fit Class II Note, this is a Class I hitch, not Class II 00:00:07 trailer hitch receiver. Its part number is 24826. Okay, this is what our hitch looks like installed. You'll see our cross tube meets here in the middle at our 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver tube opening. This is a Class I rated hitch, so this hitch is going to work out well for us when it comes to your smaller cargo carriers, small bike carriers, or even the light-duty trailers. To secure all of our items in place, we're going to use the 1/2" diameter pinhole here on the side. You want to be sure you use Class I rated accessories, but no matter which one you would pick, whether it would be an anti-rattle bolt, maybe a locking hitch pin, or a regular hitch pin and clip, should be plenty of room to make that work.
