Today on our 2007 Chevrolet Silverado we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the red arc tow pro elite proportional trailer brake controller for one to three axles, now to help us in our installation, We're going to be using the universal mounting panel for our red arc tow pro brake controller, remote head. And that's going to be part number 331-TPSI-001 So here's where our tow pro elite brake controller looks like once we have it installed it's going to be an extremely compact unit. And all we're going to see is the knob with the led light right here. This is going to be a great solution to the traditional style brake controller which typically do take up a decent amount of space and they do get kind of cumbersome where they may interfere with your legs while you're driving. Now, you'll notice that we have a blue led indicator light that's on right by our knob. And that's going to let us know that our trailer is connected but when we don't have a trailer connected there's not going to be a light on at all. more

Presenter: Today on our 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite proportional trailer brake controller, for one to three axles. This is going to be part number 331-EBRH-ACCV2.To help us in our installation, we going to be using the universal mounting panel for Redarc Two-Pro brake controller remote head. That's gonna be part number 331-TPSI-001.So, here's what our Tow-Pro Elite brake controller looks like, once we have it installed. It's going to be an extremely compact unit, and all we're going to see is the knob, with the LED light right here.This is going to be a great solution to the traditional style brake controller, which typically do take up a decent amount of space, and they do get cumbersome, or they may interfere with your legs, while you're driving.You'll notice that we have a blue LED indicator light that's on right by our knob, and that's going to let us know that our trailer is connected. But, when we don't have a trailer connected, there's not going to be a light on at all.Like most brake controllers on the market, we're going to have a nub, that's going to adjust the power that we're sending to our trailer brakes. It's going to go all the way from zero, and if we turn the knob, we can go all the way up to 10, 10 being the maximum power.For those situations where our trailer starts to sway, or potentially jackknife, or where we need to slow it down, but we don't want to slow our vehicle down, we can push on the knob itself, which will act as a manual override, and apply the trailer brakes.As you can see, with it being in 10, we're going to have a dark red light coming on, which is letting us know that it's at maximum power. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body

Today, in this 2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body, we're going to install part number 90885 from Tekonsha. This is a Prodigy P2 Brake Controller. To start of our install, we're going to ahead and look for the back view wiring harness underneath the dash of the vehicle. Sometimes, it will be easier to find and sometimes, it's tucked away in the back like this one is. Once we found it, we'll gently pull it down until we get access to our wires. When we pull it out, we discover we have five wires. The orange wire goes to the stop light that's above the cap, so we'll pull the orange wire out of the way. more
