Adding a roof rack system to your Tiguan is gonna allow you to increase the amount of cargo area that you have. This being a compact SUV type vehicle, you don't really have the largest trunk, so if you have full passengers and a lot of luggage, this is gonna allow you to get a lot more of those bigger, bulkier items on the road with you. A roof rack for your Tiguan is a great way to expand the function of your vehicle because one, you've got these raised rails so you might as well utilize them. This is gonna be the easiest way to get a roof rack because you only have the bar that your accessories will attach to and those legs that will clamp around the raised rail. This is gonna be a great way to carry some extra stuff with you, whether it be a bike rack, a kayak, or maybe a box to get some extra stuff with you on your family road trip. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and later we'll be showing you how to install this Yakima JetStream Roof Rack System on our 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan. This is the one with the 50 inch long crossbars, but we offer a kit here at etrailer with a 60 inch long crossbar. But the beauty of these Yakima bars is that they have a continuous channel on the underside. So in theory, you could get an even longer bar if you wanted. I don't know that I would. more

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at, and later, we'll be showing you how to install this Inno Roof Rack system for raised rails on our 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan. It's important to note that this is for raised rails, which is great, because that's what your Tiguan comes with. And if you're looking to expand the function of your vehicle, the best place to go in my opinion, in this case at least, is the roof, because you already have these raised rails, why not utilize them This is gonna be the easiest way to attach a roof rack for any car out there. Any car with raised rails, I always recommend a roof rack, because it's so easy to install and it's just a lot less complicated than other kits like I've used on my own vehicles in the past. This option from Inno will clamp around the bar. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we'll be taking a look at our Yakima roof rack system here on our 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan. So right now we have the Yakima JetStream crossbars, which are 50 inches long and the Yakima TimberLine towers. Since your Volkswagen Tiguan already has raised rails, it's actually really easy to add a roof rack system to it. I recommend doing so if, let's say you need a little bit of extra storage, or if you want to store things outside of your vehicle, let's say they're muddy or sandy items. Or if you have your hitch fully loaded with a bike rack or other hitch accessory, or if you want to add maybe a roof basket, roof box, bike rack, the options are endless with this roof rack. more

Hey everybody, welcome to etrailer.com, I'm Bobby. And today we're taking a look at the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack System, here on our 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan. Now, guys, this can be a nice little way of giving yourself a roof rack system on top of your vehicle. You're going to have 165 pounds of weight capacity, so you should have no trouble of getting most of those standard accessory items you need up on here. Now it is gonna be aluminum, and it's gonna be very lightweight. However, it still has nice structural design inside of it, so you shouldn't be seeing too much bowing in here, especially if you are keeping well within that weight requirement range, it should do an excellent job of getting all those accessories that you need up on our vehicle. more

This is a great roof rack system for when you wanna create more cargo space on your vehicle. So, let's say you don't have a hitch or you already have a hitch with accessories on it and you still wanna carry more things like your kayaks, your bikes, your luggage with cargo baskets or roof boxes, you're gonna need a roof rack system. Since this has flush feet, it's a great option for you when you want that low-profile, almost OEM look, as well as if you want a roof rack that's gonna stay on your vehicle all year round. This has a weight capacity of 165 pounds, which is actually kinda on the higher end when it comes to roof rack weight capacities. more

Collin: Hey guys, Collin here at Etrailer and today we have a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan and we've been testing some roof racks on it. Right now we've got the Yakima JetStream roof rack system installed. Now this is going to install onto the raised side rails of your Tiguan, gives you an option to be able to load up some rooftop accessories, to help make more space inside your vehicle. Now you can get a cargo box up there that'll just be a lot lighter, to get some luggage, other cargo, up into the enclosed box so that you can make more space like I said, inside the vehicle for more arm and a leg room. You can throw a couple of bike racks up there that way you don't have to get a hitch or a hitch mounted bike rack, you don't have to worry about getting those dirty bikes inside your car. Maybe even just a couple of kayak carriers so you can go to and from the water with your kayaks because we obviously know that one kayak's probably not going to fit in your Tiguan.This roof rack is made up of two different parts. more

Hey everyone, Colin here at etrailer, today we have a 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan, and we're going to do a test fit of the Thule wingbar Evo roof rack system. Now this roof rack system was designed to mount to the raised side rails of your Volkswagen Tiguan. It's going to allow you to get your favorite rooftop accessories loaded up, whether you've got a cargo box, a bike rack, or even a kayak carrier. Up top, we have our wingbar Evo crossbars, these are going to be 53" long, it's going to be a lot of storage space on top of your roof. We're also going to have a little bit of overhang on each side, so if you wanted to get a smaller accessory, like a bike rack loaded on the outside, you have that option as well.It's going to have a nice aerodynamic shape to it, that's going to help cut down on wind noise and drag, especially when compared to your standard square or round bar roof rack system. What's nice is that the cap just flips up like that to access the T-Trek, we don't have to pull the end cap all the way off, we just flip over that little part. more
