Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer.com Today we're taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo bike rack here on our 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. Now this comes in this gray color like you see here, the Vapor, or you can get it in black so you can match it to your vehicle however you like, but this is going to be a platform style bike rack. It holds the bikes in this tray and primarily by the front wheel up here with our wheel hook. That's going to mean zero frame contact, making it good for carbon frame and alternative frame. And with a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, it's going to be good for e-bikes too. Like many other bike racks in this class, we have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded. more

Hi, everyone. Aidan here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Yakima RidgeBack Hanging-Style Bike Rack on our 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. It's going to hang the bike by the frame and hold it in place with these cradles using the zip strips up top, holding it down in the cradles. We've got two up top, and then one around the seatpost to limit that side to side movement. There's still some, but this greatly reduces it, especially compared to some of the strap style of straps that just kinda stretch over the frame. more

It's gonna be a hang style rack that hangs the bike by the frame. You're going to have two here up top and an anti sway cradle at the bottom, and what that's going to do, it's going to limit that bike to bike contact that you get when you're going down the road.It is fairly simple to take this bike out of the rack and all you got to do is take these cam buckle type straps, press in that tab and fish them through. As you can see, there is a rubber coating on the inside of these straps along with a soft rubber insert. With these little grooves, which is going to leave space for your bike cables just so they're not smashing up against your frame. more

So if you have some e-bikes that you want to haul, just take this back one off with these two bolts and you can haul your e-bikes just as easy.So it does allow you to tilt with the bike installed. So all you really have to do is grab this blue lever down here, pull that, and it is going to tilt down. We are on a flat surface here. So with our Dodge Caravan, if we were, if we had a little bit higher elevation behind us, we might have a little bit of clearance issue right here. more

Today on our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks sport rider SE2 for electric bikes. Now though it may look like a standard bike rack, it's not. It's actually built a lot more heavy duty. It features welded gussets underneath the wheel cradles to support that extra weight. It'll actually hold two electric bikes with up to 80 pounds per bike. So again, very heavy duty.Now it does support our bikes just like pretty much any other platform style biker out there. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Hey guys. Today we have 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan, and we're going to do a test of the Inno Vertical Four Bike Hanging Style Rack. Now Inno's kind of come up with a unique design on this bike rack. Rather than having two of the support bars be parallel to the ground, kind of right here, they're going to have two vertical bars that go up and down and grip your bike in a different way. This kind of helps out with spacing of bikes, you can kind of compact them more, so you're not adding as much length to the back of your vehicle.How it will hold your bike, we're going to have this top cradle, it's kind of wedged up between the junction of the top tube right here and the down tube, just wedged up in there. You can see we just pull it down and we strap it down with this ratchet strap and it secures it. more

You can see it's kind of angled, kinda leaning towards the vehicle. It does that because the rack itself is angled up for increased ground clearance. So it's a nice feature they added so you're not gonna have to worry too much about ground clearance.Now the bike's held in at three different points of contact. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're gonna be test fitting the Swagman E-Spec 2-Electric Bike Platform Rack and that's gonna be part number S64689. As you can see, we do have a bike installed so let's take a look at some of the features.Now, like I said, this is an electric bike platform rack so it has the ability to carry up to two electric bikes weighing up to 70 pounds each. So that's a pretty neat feature about it. If we come in here, we see we have these little cradles that don't pivot back and forth, however, if you loosen 'em like this, you can adjust 'em back and forth and accommodate any length bike you might have. Each cradle is gonna come with a rubber strap and a rubber protector to protect the frame of your wheel.And if we come over and see how our bike is secured, we're gonna have three different points of contact. We're gonna have this strap with this rubber protector in there to protect the frame of our wheel. more

Looking on the end here, you see this locking point. That's for an integrated cable lock that comes with the bike rack. Speaker 1: Today in our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're gonna be test fitting the Inno Aero Light, two bike rack, part number INH620. As you can see, it can carry up to two bikes. And we're going to start looking from the outside in and show off some of the features of this.First off, you're going to see this locking point here, and that's going to be utilized with our integrated cable lock that stores in our side mast here, to pull it up and wrap it around the bikes and attach it to this point here, and lock it into place with the lock here. And it does come with two keys for this, and then your bikes will be secured once they're installed.Moving on to the cradles, these can be moved back and forth or side to side as needed to accommodate different styles of bikes, but also to help out with loading and bike spacing. Where you bike sits, there's gonna be three points of contact. We're gonna have two straps up at the top, and then one off to the side, and that's gonna be anti-sway cradle to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth and causing bike-to-bike contact. more

As you can see, we already have a bike installed, so let's take a look at some of the features.Now, the first one I want to point out is that you see we have this set up for a four-bike set up. But if we come down here, we can loosen the bolt and remove it. From there, we can pull off this two-bike extension, shortening it to a two-bike rack rather than a four. So, just for those where you don't feel like taking all four bikes out, you can miniaturize it down to a two-bike rack.If we come and look at these cradles, we're going to see that they don't pivot back and forth. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan th9031xt- Video
Today, in our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be test-fitting Thule Vertex swing 4-bike rack for 2" hitches, part number TH9031XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The first and most prominent feature of this bike rack is the fact that it can actually swing away from the rear of the vehicle, giving you rear hatch access with the bikes still attached, which is pretty unique for a hanging style bike rack. To do that, we'll start here in the rear, loosening up this knob in the back all the way, like so, pulling this pin, then lifting up on this T-handle to release the actually bike rack. Swing it out to about this position here, then we'll actually twist it until we hear that little click, then we'll push it the rest of the way. Once we get it to where we want it so it'll stay in place, we'll insert this pin again. Now we have full access to our rear hatch and plenty of space to get whatever we need. more

Today on our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to be test fitting the Thule 2T Classic 2-bike rack for 2 inch hitches, part number TH9044. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now the most prominent feature of this bike rack is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with the bike still attached. Swagman XTC4 Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be test-fitting the Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack, part number S64665, and this is for 2" hitches only. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now how the bike is actually attached to the rack, we're going to have 3 points of contact. We're going to have this padded frame hook up at the top here, and this is padded to make sure the bike rack frame itself does not get scratched once it's installed. We also have rubber straps on either tire to hold those in place, and the wheel wells that hold the tires are actually adjustable along the arms on both sets of the bike rack. This is to assist with both loading, and to fit different size bikes as well. This also has a nice raised shank to it, so there's not going to be any clearance issues between your bike rack and the ground no matter how low your hitch sets. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. more

Today in our 2017 Dodge Caravan, we're going to be taking a look at the Pro Series Q Slot Platform Style 2 & 4 Bike Rack for 2-inch hitches, part number PS63138. We already have our bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and check out some of the features. How the bike sits on the rack, we're going to have it gripped by 3 points. We're going to have this padded frame hookup at the top and it's padded so your bike will not get scratched up once it's being installed. We also have hook and lip straps on either tire. The wheel wells themselves are adjustable along the length of the arms, and can be re-tightened, and this is going to help out with fitting different size bikes as well as loading up bikes. Right now we have it in the 4 bike configuration. more

Yakima HoldUp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today in our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Hold Up two bike rack for two inch hitches, part number Y02443. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now the first and most prominent feature of this bike rack is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with the bike is still attached. To do that, while holding on to the bike rack, you come up to this red tab here at the front, pull out, and just let it come forward. Now, unfortunately, with how close this does sit to the vehicle, you won't be able to open your rear hatch all the way, as it will make contact with the bike or the bike's handle bars. Although, you will have some space to grab certain things. To put it back in its original position, just lift it up until you hear the click, like that. How this is held in place ... more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today in our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 two-bike rack for two inch hitches, part number NV22G. We already have a bike installed on the rack so let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The most prominent feature about this bike rack is the fact that this can tilt away with the bike still attached to it. To do that we have this switch here at the front which will pull towards us and let it tilt away. This is a little bit nicer than some of the other models because usually the handle's below and it makes it a little more awkward to get to when you have two bikes. Hold on to the bike rack, pull the switch towards us, let it come down, and now we have full access to our rear hatch. However, unfortunately with the configuration and the hitch that we have on this vehicle, this will come into contact with the handlebars of our bike. more

Today in our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be test-fitting the Yakima SwingDaddy four-bike rack, part number Y02464. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now, the most prominent feature about this bike rack is the fact that it can swing away from the rear of the vehicle so you can gain rear hatch access, which is pretty unique for a hanging-style bike rack. To do that, loosen up this knob in the back, and then we'll lift up on this tab here so we can swing it out. We'll swing it out till it's about in this position, then we'll move it around till you hear it click. more
