Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2017 Ford Focus- Video
Hi there Focus owners today on your 2017 Ford Focus we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Blue Ox base plates. And this is what our baseplate looks like when it's installed. We do currently have the arms in place where you would attach your tow bar to but if you're going to drive the vehicle around town you can pull the pin and twist these and they can be removed, so you can have a cleaner look here at the front. When you are ready to flat tow you can then just insert these in place push and twist until they click in, and now we've got our attachment points for our tow bar just to the inside of that, we've got our attachment for our safety cables. And just below on the driver's side where the safety cable attaches, you've got a mounting point for your breakaway switch. Towards the center of our baseplate, we've got two bars that come out and that's going to give us an attachment point for our electrical connector, so you can put a six pole connector up here really easily, and it bolts right up to it. more

Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit Installation - 2017 Ford Focus- Video
Speaker 1: Today on this 2017 Ford Focus we're going to be having a look at and showing you how to install the Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit, part number DM9519324.Here's what our base plate looks like installed with our removal arms disconnected. Now what's great about this is it will maintain a clean look on the front of our Focus when we're not flat towing it behind our motor home. This base plate will serve as the attachment point to your motor home and will work with most tow bars on the market. The way you attach the removal arms, you can simply twist out your plug here, we'll take our arm insert it with this tab horizontally, twist it 90 degrees, and we'll use our clevis pin here to lock it into place. Now we can't twist it to remove it. Then we'll simply repeat the same process on the other side of the vehicle. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford Focus, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Roadmaster EZ5 direct connect base plate kit with removable arms. Part number is RM-524443-5. Here's what our base plate's going to look like once you get it installed. As you can see with the removable arm design, we're not leaving or really changing the overall look of the vehicle with a big cross bar or big arms that hang out.Now when ready for use, we have our removable arms. You can see our tow bar's actually going to attach right to that pin location there. So all we'll need to do is slide it in and rotate it. more
