Best 2008 Volvo XC90 Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitches available for the 2008 Volvo XC90.Now, both the hitches that we're going to be comparing today are going to be Class 3 rated hitches, so that means they're going to have the 2" by 2" receiver tube opening. From Curt, we have part number 13559, and from Draw-Tite, part number 75152. Now, both of these hitches are designed to fit in behind the rear fascia, so what we're going to be left with hanging down is just going to be the receiver tube opening and our safety chain connection points.The receiver tube openings are slightly different. You'll see the Curt's going to have the flush style reinforcement collar, where the Draw-Tite's, it's going to be a little bit more rounded. Also, the safety chain connection points are different. You can see on our Draw-Tite, we've got the rolled steel style safety chain connection point, with plenty of room to get whatever size chain connected we might want to, whereas when we look at the Curt, you can see it's more of a vertical plate that comes down. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Volvo XC90, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite class three custom fit trailer hitch receiver. Part number 76194.So here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it fully installed. It is going to be tucked up behind the bumper and all we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out. Now I do want to mention that we have a seven pole wiring over here and the bracket and the wiring itself does not come with the hitch. It is sold separately. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Volvo XC60 - Draw-Tite- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Volvo XC60 we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Class 3 Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver, part number 75671.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. Now one thing you'll notice about this hitch, the majority of it is concealed behind our rear fascia. We only have a little bit sticking out at the end of the frame on each side. One nice feature that this hitch has that others on the market don't is we have this tab here that's welded onto the frame of the hitch. Now what this tab does is provide us with a connection point for any of our electrical harnesses that we may have in order for us to tow our trailer.Welded onto the bottom of our receiver we have our tubular steel safety chain loops so we can hook on our safety chains from our trailer. One nice thing about these is we can clip them in on the front, the side, or the back. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2011 Volvo XC60 we will be having a look at, and showing you how to install, the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75671. Here's what our hitch looks like installed.Now, what's really great about this hitch is that it sits up nice and tucked up behind our bumper cover, so when loading cargo into our hatch area we don't have to worry about running our shins or knees into the hitch. It's also tucked up high against the fascia, so it's mostly hidden behind the fascia itself.This hitch has one unique feature that a lot of other hitches for the XC60 don't have. We have this bracket that's welded to the hitch itself, which provides us a mounting location for any of our wiring harness needs, such as a four way flat, or a seven way RV connector; all expends on what wiring you need to tow your particular trailer. We have multiple options available for you at our website.On the side of our receiver you'll find two holes, the larger one, closes to the front of the vehicle, that is the industry standard 5/8" hitch pin hole, to secure any of your hitch mounted accessories. Speaker 1: Today, on our 2016 Volvo XC90, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt class three custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number C13233. Here's what our hitch looks like fully installed. The cross tube is going to be visible and it's going to sit right below our bumper. Now, it is a class three hitch, which means it's going to give us that 2-inch by 2-inch receiver tube opening, and it does have a reinforced collar, giving it added strength and a nice, clean finished look. Our hitch is going to use a standard 5/8 pin and clip, it's not included, but you can pick one up on our website using part number PC3. Now, as far as the safety chain loops go, it's going to be a plate style, welded to the bottom of our receiver tube. more

Today in our 2017 Volvo XC90, we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76014. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. Now our hitch is completely hidden behind our rear fascia. The only part that you'll see sticking down is the class III 2" receiver itself and then our safety chain loops here on the side. I really like these safety chain loops because if you have a large locking device inserted in your pinhole, they're not going to be obstructed and you can still easily clip on to them. Towards the front of the vehicle you'll find our industry standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch mounted accessories. Towards the rear of the hitch you'll find a J-pin stabilization device hole. more

All right, here's what our hitch looks like installed. On the side of our receiver here we have two pin holes. The one closest to the front is our industry standard 5/8 of an inch diameter hole to secure our ball mounts, bike racks or cargo carriers. Towards the rear of our receiver we have a J pin stabilization device hole. What a J pin stabilization device does is help take away some of that annoying shake, play, and rattle out of what's inserted into your receiver. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Volvo S60- Video
Today on our 2014 Volvo S60, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Kirk Class 2 Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, Part Number C12066. Here's what our hitch looks like fully installed on our S60. As you can see, all you're going to see sticking out is going to be the receiver tube right underneath the bumper. The cross tube's going to be tucked up underneath here, so it's going to give that nice, clean, finished look. This is a Class 2 hitch, so it's got an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver two opening, and it's going to have that reinforced collar here. Now the safety chain loops here, it's going to be a rolled steel stock welled into the bottom of our receiver tube. As you can see, we're going to have plenty of room to get any size loop on or off. This hitch is going to use a standard 1/2 inch pin in clip hole. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Volvo XC90- Video
Today on our 2016 Volvo XC90, we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Max Frame Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76014. Here is what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, it's nice and tucked up underneath the fascia of the vehicle and there's nothing hanging down at all that you can see, besides the actual two inch class III receiver opening and our safety chain loops here on the bottom. What I like about these safety chain loops being on the bottom like this, is that it won't interfere if we have a locking device to secure our ball mount or any hitch mount accessory we have, so it's still easy to get to. You don't have to worry about fighting to get around the thing sticking out to clip in. It makes it easier to use. You may notice we have two holes on our hitch here. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Volvo S40 - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2006 Volvo S40, we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Sportframe, Class one inch and a quarter Trailer Hitch Receiver. Part number 24781. All right, here's what our hitch looks like once it's been installed. As you can see, there's nothing visible underneath our bumper at all, just besides the class one inch and a quarter receiver, here, and our station chain loops. The station chain loops are really easy to use. They have a nice, small diameter, loop around the edge. So even the smallest of station chains will be able to fill them really easily. We have our standard half inch diameter hedge pinhole, so you can use your hedge pin or your locking device. Now this hitch has a 200 pound max tongue weight rating and a 2,000 pound rows trailer weight rating. more

Today, on this 2008 Volvo XC90, we're going to review and install this hidden hitch, class 3, 2 inch receiver hitch, part number 87810. All right, this is what the hitch looks like once installed on our XC90. All you can really see is just the receiver opening itself, which is pretty nice because all of the body of the hitch is actually hidden behind the bumper. This will be your 2 inch opening right here, which has a nice rounded collar for reinforcement on the hitch. If we take a look at the side of the hitch here, you'll notice two hitch pin holes. All of your accessories and your ball mounts will use the 5/8's on an inch hitch pin hole right here. This secondary hole here is designed for a J-pin stabilization pin. more

All you can really see is the receiver opening itself, which is pretty nice because all the body of the hitch is actually hidden behind the bumper. This'll be your 2" opening right here, which has a nice rounded collar for reinforcement on the hitch. If we take a look at the side of the hitch here, you'll notice 2 hitch pin holes. All your accessories and your ball inaudible 00:00:31 will use the 5/8" hitch pin hole right here. This secondary hole here is designed for a J-Pin Stabilization Pin. This will work great with accessories that you put in your hitch that do not have their own anti-rattle device. more

Here's what our hitch is going to look like installed on the vehicle. As you can see most of our cross tube here is going to be completely hidden behind our bumper, just going to have a very small sliver there that you might be able to see if you look down under the car. We've got our 2 X 2 receiver tube opening. See the reinforcement collar around the end has that rounded look to it Safety chain connection points here. This is going to be a round steel stock. Plenty of room there, I feel like, for getting whatever safety chains connected you're going to need. You also see our dual pinhole set up. more

Best 2009 Volvo XC70 Hitch Options- Video
Today we will be taking a look at the best hitch options available for you 2009 Volvo XC70. You're first option available is going to be your Curt Class 2 Receiver with the inch and a quarter insert, part number C12066. You're second option is going to be your Hidden Hitch class 3 receiver with 2 by 2 inch receiver. That's going to be part number 87674. You're third choice is going to be your Draw-Tite and that's going to be very similar to the Hidden Hitch above. That's going to be part number 75916. The bottom one down here is going to be your Curt class 3 with the 2 by 2 inch receiver, part number 13266. Your Curt class 2 receiver hitch with the inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter inlet receiver tube here is going to have that nice square stock that's gonna sit back behind the bumper. The only thing that you're going to see hanging down by the bottom side is going to be your inch and a quarter receiver tube. It's going to be the same with all the other ones as well. The class 2 Curt is going to have a 350 pound tongue weight and a max trailer weight of 3500 pounds. The other Curt on the bottom down here is going to also have a 350 pound tongue weight and 3500 pound max trailer weight. All these receivers are not suggested to use with weight distribution. The Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch both have a 400 pound tongue weight and a 4000 pound gross trailer weight. With your class 2 receiver hitch it's going to have that half inch pen hole that's going to go all the way through with no secondary hole. more

Today on our 2013 Volve XE70, we will be taking a look and installing the Curt trailer hitch receiver, part number 13266. Now we will go ahead and get a few measurements to help you in selecting ball mounts, bike racks and cargo carriers. From the center of the pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper, it's going to be about 5 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground, it's going to be about 13 3/4 inches. This is what our trailer hitch is going to look like once it's installed. Nice, sleek and tucked away under the bottom side of the bumper, the main mounting hardware attached to the bumper on the backside, with the drop-down like so. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Volvo C30 - Curt- Video
Today on our 2011 Volvo C30 we're going to review and install the CURT Class 1 1-1/4 inch receiver tube hitch, part number C11337. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. This is a completely steel and fully welded constructed hitch with a really nice black powdered coated finish that blends in with the under body of the vehicle. The only thing we're really have exposed here is our receiver tube and chain hold out. Going all the way through the receiver tube is our half inch pin hole. This is going to be our Class 1 1-1/4 inch by 1-1/4 inch receiver tube hitch that's capable of up to two hundred pounds of ton weight and a 2000 pound tow capacity. Next we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist your selecting accessories for your new hitch. more

Today on our 2008 Volvo S60 we're going to be taking a look at and showing how to install the Draw-Tite custom fit class two trailer hitch receiver. This is going to offer the 1-1/4" opening. Its part number is 36297. Now here's what the hitch is going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. The carrying capacity of our hitch will allow us to tow up to 3500 pounds and has a 350 pound tongue weight. As you can see once it's installed, it's got a very sleek install in that the majority of the hitch is covered the the exception of the receiver tube. While it's tucked up underneath the bumper nicely, it's still very accessible and easy to use. One of the nice features about this install kit is it allows for not only this application but for other models and trim packages that come in the XC70 line. Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is approximately 7 inches. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 13 1/4 inches. Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. Now to begin with, we're going to need to remove two rubber exhaust hangers here at the rear of the vehicle. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Volvo C30 - Curt- Video
Today on this 2013 Volvo C30 we're going to install part number C11337 from Curt. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on the vehicle. Next we'll give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories, such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground is going to be about 11 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 2 1/2 inches. Now we'll show you how the hitch is installed. The first thing we need to do is remove the plastic fascia that's on the very bottom edge of the bumper. We'll remove two torque set screws from the plastic mounting brackets using a T25 Torx bit. Then we'll simply unsnap the plastic from the vehicle. more
