Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 GMC Acadia KU74FR- Video
Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Transfer bike rack here on our 2019 GMC Acadia. Now, the Transfer is going to be a platform-style bike rack holding the bike by the wheel here. So, that means we're gonna have zero frame contact making it good for our carbon frame bikes, our alternative frame bikes, and it does have a 40 pound weight capacity in this version. This is the version that'll work with an inch-and-a-quarter hitch or two-inch hitch. If you are looking for a higher capacity of 60 pounds per per bike, you can check out the exclusively two-inch version that will boost your capacity just a bit and be better for those e-bikes. But either way, they're gonna both function the same way. more

Now, like I mentioned, this is a four bike rack and it's a platform style rack, holding the bike in these trays with these wheel straps at the bottom. Now, this has quickly become one of my personal favorite e-bike racks and it's a pretty special one too. And we'll get to some of that in a bit. But it's gonna be holding the bike primarily in these trays with these three wheel straps and upright with this clamp right here. The clamp tightens down easily with this lockable hand knob and keeps the bike really secure in the rack. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hey everyone, Charles here at trailer. And today we're taking a look at the Hollywood Sport Rider SE bike rack on our 2016 GMC Sierra 2500. This bike rack is gonna be great for carrying those extra heavy electric bikes because you can carry up to 80 pounds per bike. I think it's one of the largest weight capacity bike racks that we have to offer. If you had a custom paint job or a carbon fiber bike that you wanted to bring along, this might not be the best option for you since it is a frame mount but for that extra peace of mind, if you really had to take it, there's a foam padding on the hooks themselves and then an extra even softer foam padding on the hooks. Saris MHS Modular 2 Bike Rack Review - 2019 GMC Acadia- Video
Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Saris MHS modular bike rack on the 2019 GMC Acadia. Because of the double tire hold, this bike rack can accommodate a lot of different kinds of bikes, especially your carbon frames, and those with a custom paint job, pretty much the only kind would be those with a fender, but you can carry up to 60 pounds per bike, and it does have a tote away feature, which is awesome. The only problem is with our long handle bars here, our hatch is going to make contact at about right here, but we can just take the bike off to be able to access that. We are gonna have three attachment points, a strap for the front tire, and then two of the wheel mounts to take the bike off. We're gonna start with the strap, and just get that out of the way. And then from here, we can go ahead and push on this gray button, swing that out of the way, and then keeping one hand on the frame, so it doesn't fall on your vehicle, we can now push on this gray button, and get that out of the way, and now our bike is free. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 GMC Acadia- Video
Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Inno Tire Hold bike rack on a 2019 GMC Acadia. This bike rack is gonna be great for holding a lot of different kinds of bikes because it is being held on by both of the tires. So your carbon frame, your custom paint job bikes are gonna be great on this bike rack. Pretty much just those with a fender probably wouldn't work well for you. But we're gonna have 60 pounds of weight capacity per bike. And it does tilt away, but unfortunately, on our Acadia here, it does not make clearance past these longer handle bars right here. more

Hey everyone, Charles here at Etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Kuat Sherpa bike rack on a 2016 GMC Sierra 2500. This is a great bike rack. It accommodates a lot of different styles of bikes, but one quick disclaimer, on the Sierra here, we have a two and a half inch hitch with an adapter to reduce it down to two inches. And the self-tensioning system that Kuat has in the Sherpa, it's self-tensioning to the adapter, instead of the actual hitch. So we are gonna have some play in there, but if you wanna stick around and hear some of the features, we'll get right into that. We are gonna have 40 pounds of capacity per bike. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 GMC Acadia- Video
Hey, everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Swagman Chinook bike rack on a 2019 GMC Acadia. This is gonna be a great bike rack to use to transport your bikes of up to 45 pounds each. Since it is a frame mount, you probably wouldn't use this on a carbon frame style bike, but it is gonna be made out of steel, so it's gonna be very durable and last a long time, and it's finished with a black powder coat, making it rust resistant. One of the great features about this rack is that it does tilt away using this lever on the back. We can still keep our bikes on the rack without having to take them off, and be able to access our hatch to grab our helmets, waters, whatever we need for our bike ride. We're gonna hear it snap back into place and that's how we know it's secure. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 GMC Terrain- Video
Hey, everybody. Today, we're gonna be going over the Hollywood Racks Destination two-bike rack, here on a 2022 GMC Terrain. So here is what our bike rack is gonna look like on our vehicle with one bike attached. Now the backup camera is probably not gonna be very useful when you have two bikes on there, but that's to be expected with pretty much any bike rack on the back of this vehicle. Now in regards to your rear view glass here, the handlebars are probably gonna stick up a little bit, but you're still gonna have some decent visibility, and you obviously still have your mirrors to use on the sides as well. So you're not really foregoing any safety here, you're just gonna be foregoing some of the convenience features such as your rear view camera. more

Hi everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we are looking at the Kuat Trouper 2.0 two bike rack here on our 2021 GMC Canyon Denali. Now, the Kuat Trouper is one of my favorites because of how it covers pretty much everything you're looking for when it comes to carrying around your bikes. Now, this isn't extra heavy in terms of weight capacity but if you just have an average bike, you're gonna have all the premium features you will need or want. One of the features it has is that it can tilt away to do so you pull on this lever and then this drops down to a tilt and you'll want to do this, let's say if you wanna access your hatch or lower your tailgate. Now, what I did notice on our truck here is that I couldn't lower the tailgate all the way. more

Hollywood Racks Road Runner Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 GMC Acadia- Video
Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com, I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look, at the Hollywood Racks Road Runner 4 Bike Rack Carrier here, on our 2019 GMC Acadia. Now this can be an excellent way of getting your bikes to the trailhead, now with hanging style, your biggest issues, you're gonna have a lot of sway on your bikes, and what that means, they're gonna be bumping into each other they gonna be scratching each other, It's just making small, minor dinks and damage to it, so eventually, your paint's gonna start wearing off, your bikes just aren't gonna look as good. Now that doesn't mean that any aren't great, you're getting four bikes to the trail head with you, but you know, it's never great to actually do any damage to our bikes, that's where the Roadrunner comes in, it's gonna do an excellent job of really reducing the play and sway that our bikes are going to feel even with four bikes on here, and what I mean with that, you're getting a lot of great anti-sway control. At the top here, you can see we have this nice vertical posts for our anti-sway cradle here, gonna do a very good job of covering a lot of our bike, really reducing that innate play that's gonna have, so it's not gonna be swinging as much, and if it does swing, it's gonna return right back to where it was relatively quickly and fast to where we're not making any contact with our bikes. We also have at the bottom here, this nice anti-sway bar control, now what this is gonna do, to allow you to utilize the included cam buckle straps, to run this through all of your tires and each into those posts, that way you can really make sure that this guy a isn't doing this whole motion, but be, isn't gonna be swaying back and forth on this guy, so that four, therefore, they're not gonna be bumping into each other, not gonna be doing any kinda damage to yourself, and that's really the name of the game with the road runner, it is that nice hanging style, and it's really reducing all of that sway. Taking a look at the cradles themselves though, nothing too crazy got a pretty nice little rubber strip here to hold these guys on to. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 GMC Yukon XL- Video
John: Hey guys. John here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2020 GMC Yukon XL, we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks TRS two bike platform rack for e-bikes. This is designed to fit a two inch trailer hitch receiver and the one of the features I'd like to start off pointing out is it does have a tilt away feature.To do this you'll pull the safety pin here and there's a quick release pin you will also need to pull which allows us to tilt the bike rack away. I would like to point out that the bike rack sits close enough to the Yukon that with a standard bike size like this, it'll clear the pedal when you have the pedal down, but it will come in contact with the handle.You might be able to fit a smaller bike on here and be able to open up the rear hatch without making any contact, but it's really going to depend on the size of your bike.Go ahead and lift the bike back into the towing position. You'll notice here our bike is secured at three points of contact, two ratchet straps on the wheels and then one ratchet strap up here on the tire.To remove the bike, we'll start off by releasing the ratchet straps on the wheels and then we'll press this lever in to release the tension on the ratcheting arm. more

This is designed for one and a quarter inch and two inch hitches and it's a great way to carry four bikes on the back of your Yukon. This not only frees up room inside your Yukon to fit more cargo or passengers, but it means you're not going to be cramming the bikes into the back of your vehicle.So take a closer look here, you can see our bike is secured at three different points. Two ratchet straps on top, and then one here with the anti sway cradle. The anti sway cradle is designed to help limit the movement of your bike while you're heading down the road so that your bikes won't come in contact with each other or the vehicle.To remove the bike, simply press here and loosen up the ratchet strap to remove it and we'll kind of walk our bike back. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 GMC Yukon XL HR4000- Video
John: Hey guys, John here from etrailer.com, and today on our 2020 GMC Yukon XL, we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Destination Platform Rack. This is designed for two inch by two inch trailer hitches and it'll hold up to four bikes, weighing 35 pounds each. This is a great option for getting up to four bikes to your destination without having to toss them up on top of your Yukon XL, or trying to fit them into the rear cargo area.Our bike here is going to be secured at three locations. There's a ratcheting strap on the rear wheel, on the middle post frame and the front wheel. To remove our bike, we'll simply press the lever here, to remove the ratcheting strap. I recommend removing the straps for the wheels first, that way you can use one hand to remove the strap for the middle rack. more

Right now we have the Thule Hitching Post Pro loaded up.Now, this is a four-bike hanging style rack, so you can be able to get four bikes loaded up on the back of your Yukon and conserve on space on top of your roof or inside your vehicle so you don't really have to worry about cramming stuff in your car or on top of your roof to be able to get to your destination. Now with the hanging style rack, you can see we've got a mountain bike on here right now. It's holding it very well. We've got three different spots where each bike is held in. more

Today on our 2019 GMC Sierra, we're going to be taking a look at the Swagman Current.It's a two-bike rack that'll handle all of your bike needs, including e-bikes and fat tire bikes. It's a platform style rack, which means your bike sits in these two cradles and up here at the top there is a hook that puts down pressure on your frame to secure the bike in place. As you can see here, we've got our e-bike loaded up. Hey there. Sierra owners. Today on your 2019 GMC Sierra, we're going to bring you some real mountain synergy when we test fit the RockyMounts WestSlope. The WestSlope is a two bike platform style rack with a gradual slope to it here at the back, which is great because it's going to give you plenty of ground clearance at the rear of your Sierra. Like most platform style racks, secures your tires in cradles, and we have a hook here on our front tire that helps put down pressure into that front cradle securing our bike. While in the rear, we have a ratcheting style strap that keeps that rear tire mobilized.The great thing about having a bike rack on the rear of your Sierra, is it frees up your truck bed for more items when you're out on your adventure. more

Today we've got our 2019 GMC Sierra and we're test fitting the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 for ebikes and standard bikes.With all bikes, but especially with ebikes you don't want them rattling around in your truck bed. Plus you want to keep your truck bed free for anything you're taking on your adventure, so this is a great option to add to your Sierra allowing you to take two bikes along for the ride.It's a platform style rack. That means it holds your bike in place here at the wheels, and up at the top we have a frame hook that puts down pressure on the bike, keeping it secure into those cradles.A cool thing about this rack unlike some others, is its ability to tilt away from your Sierra even with bikes loaded. So even if you've got two ebikes on here, you're able to pull that pin down at the base, lift up slightly and pull out this top knob. That's going to tilt the bike away, giving you a little extra space here to get into your tailgate. more

Today on our 2019 GMC Sierra, we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider Two Bike platform style rack.Having a bike rack on the rear of your Sierra can actually help you free up space in your bed for those adventures you're going on. Also, with nicer bikes like carbon fiber bikes, people don't always want them just rattling around in the truck bed, this is a great way to secure your bikes and get them where you're going. Platform racks secure your bikes at the tires, and there is a cradle up top that puts down pressure on the bike, keeping it in those cradles. The nice thing about this is it's not hanging by the top tube like with other style bike racks.Now like this, you'll notice getting into the tailgate of your Sierra is a little difficult, but that's not a problem with this rack. There's a pin down here we can pull out, and once we've loosened that pin, then we can pull out on the knob, and that's going to let the bike tilt away. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 GMC Sierra 1500- Video
Hi guys. It's Adam with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2019 GMC Sierra and we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule Camber hanging-style bike rack.This bike rack is going to be able to hold up to four bikes with three tie-down points per bike. You're going to have a zip tie-style hanging system, which is going to have two straps on top and then one anti-sway cradle on the bottom, and what does this anti-sway cradle is going to do, it's going to help with that bike-to-bike contact and bike-to-vehicle contact when you're going down the road.As you can see, these mounts for your bike, it does have a rubber insert, which is going to protect your bike while hauling them anywhere, and also it has these little grooves which is going to be for your bike cables so they don't damage your frame.Let me just show you how easy it is to take this bike off the rack. It really is simple. You have this little pressure pin right here, you push down, and it slides right out, do that on both sides, and the anti-sway cradle. more
