Today we're going to be taking a look at part number EM58511. This is the Multiplier Ratchet Tie-Down Strap with double j-hooks from Erickson Cargo Tie-downs. The heavy-duty cargo tie-down strap is going to let you secure your cargo in your truck bed or trailer. This unit's going to be ideal for commercial and non-commercial flatbed and OTR applications. The labor-saving ratchet is going to make it really easy to tighten down the strap. You can see here it's going to have a gear right here and a larger gear back here. It's going to feature a two-to-one gear drive that's going to apply double the tension while using the same amount of force you would normally use to operate a standard ratchet system. Tension is going to be applied with each downward push. Very easy system to operate and little effort is required to pull the handle back up. Erickson Multiplier Ratchet Tie Down Strap Manufacturer Demo- Video

The multipliers a new ratcheting tie down system that was designed to enable you to apply more tension when securing your load. I have seen users take a long bar and stick it in the handle of a conventional ratchet strap to apply more pressure to their load. The multiplier has a 2 to 1 gear drive in it, what it does do is help exert a lot more tension, a lot more pressure to the load. What you do is simply hook your hooks on, over your load, back in to the ratcheting position down in the bottom here, and then you proceed to get it tight. Once I get it a little tighter here it'll get a little easier to operate. But see I'm pulling down on the ratchet, rather than pushing on it as a traditional ratchet. I'm hardly touching on it and it's getting very, very tight. more

Erickson Ratchet Tie-Down w/ Twisted Snap Hooks Review- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Ericsson ratchet tie down strap with the twisted style snap hooks. This comes in a 15 foot length, straps an inch and a half wide, part number on it is EM51324. This heavy-duty strap has been designed with the twist hook style, it's a flat piece of metal, but they twist out to make a hook. Makes is very easy to connect into your truck or to your trailer. They've got the keepers, they're going to come down, help to hold that in place so we don't have to worry about chasing those side to side. The straps themselves are very heavily stitched, it's going to give us a nice secure connection point there and all of our metal surfaces have been coated with a corrosion resistant material. more

CargoBuckle E-Track Adapter Straps for Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps Review- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the E-Track adapter for the bolt-on style of the cargo buckle, retractable cargo tie-down straps. This measures seven inches long and it's rated at 833 pounds as a safe working load limit. The part number is IMF14087 and we're using it on our cargo buckle IMF18800. A lot of times guys really like the idea of using the bolt-on style really heavy duty, really nice retractable style strap but they don't want to drill the hole in their trailer or into their truck to mount them. With the E-Track system becoming very, very popular, we've got a solution for that here. We simply bolt on the top plate here and that's going to connect us right down to our E-Track, where we can connect that into any of our vertical or horizontal E-Track systems. We'll just simply take our E-Track connection end and slide it into our groove and allow it to click in. As you can see there, it's nice and secure, now we can just bring our strap up, connect it into whatever it is we're going to be hauling, we got a little jeep here today that we're using. Let the slack come out of there and now it's just a matter of getting it tightened down. I really like the way this works out. more

CargoBuckle Retractable Ratchet Straps Installation - 2013 Ford F-150- Video

Today on our 2013 Ford F150 Regular Cab, we're going to be installing the cargo buckle retractable ratchet straps for the track rack systems, part number IMF104933. We already have our track rack system installed in the vehicle. We're going to be adding these ratchet straps to the upper brackets or upper rails of our track rack. To do that, we'll be using the hardware that comes with the kit, so we'll be taking this little T bolt here, looks like that, drop it in the slot, slide it over. Open up the buckle holding this, raising the handle, we'll then the hole here set it on top of the bolt. We'll put our washer down, set our ratchet strap in place. We'll then put the nut. more

Today were going to be taking a look at the Erickson Ratcheting Tie-Down Kit with the Web Clamp, in a 2-Pack, 8-Feet Long, part number EM31351.These Erickson ratcheting tie-downs have a wide variety of applications, whether youre going to use them to tie down and secure cargo in the bed of your pickup truck or your camper, all the way to loading up an ATV or UTV in the bed of your pickup.These straps are one inch wide by eight feet long. Today we'll be taking a look at the Erickson Retractable Ratchet Straps with a push button release rated at 1200 pounds and a two-pack part EM34415. This Erickson retractable tie-down has a wide variety of uses. Whether you're securing cargo or gear in the bed of your pickup truck, or you're securing larger loads on your open trailer or in, for today's scenario, we have a couple of four wheelers and some other gear in our in close trailer. A couple of neat things about this strap is that all of the strap is basically contained in this housing, so you're not going to have a bunch of random straps lying around, the excess strap is not going to be flapping around in the wind. You can see that the width of the strap is one inch, and this strap has a break strength of 1200 pounds with a safe working load limit of 400 pounds. It's made of a zinc coated heavy-duty steel construction for long lasting strength and durability. The hooks do have a nice vinyl coating over it, so if you're going to be hauling maybe a dirt bike or a four-rear to where you don't want the metal surface to scratch up any part of your bike, the vinyl coated hooks make it really nice. The stitchings here on the firm part of the strap also provide extra strength and durability, it's just going to make sure the strap and the hook provide a really nice strong hold. more

Erickson Ratchet Strap Review- Video

Today we'll be taking a look at the Erickson Ratchet Strap in a two inch wide by 25 foot long length with a 5000 pound maximum capacity, part number EM52400. You should always be sure that your load is only limited to 1650 pounds because that's what the working load limit is of this strap. Now here's our strap itself, you'll notice it has a double J-hook design on the end with a buckle. On this trailer there's a securing rail here as well as a bump rail. So you could secure it like that or if so choose you can take the strap and flip it underneath and comeback around. With being a double J-hook style, it's best if you actually go like this. Ideally you'd find an area on the trailer where it's doubled up anywhere along this rail here will work on this particular trailer. more

Erickson Ratchet Strap with Flat Hooks Review- Video

Today, we're taking a look at the Erickson Ratchet Strap in a three inch by 30 foot long in a 15,000 pound maximum capacity with flat hooks on the end, part number 58514. This here is the end of our actual strap. You'll notice it has a flat hook. On this particular trailer, there's a lip built in that allow you to take the strap, come around and go back around the strap, over your cargo and you'll tie in with you ratchet on the other side of the trailer. The strap is three inches wide and a 30 foot overall length. It does have a capacity of 15,000 pounds but it has a 5,000 pound working load limit so you should really limit yourself to 5,000 pounds. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson Rope Ratchet tie down, rated at 250 pounds, part number 01801. This ratcheting rope tie down has a wide variety of uses from strapping kayaks and small boats to the roof of our vehicle, kind of acting as a bow and stern strap, or if you're going to secure maybe an ATV or UTV on your trailer or bed of your pickup truck or any other smaller items that need to be secured. It has a 3/8-inch diameter nice heavy duty rope. It has a special woven design for maximum strength and durability. It has a 250-pound working load limit. You can see it comes with these 2 silver hooks. These just are going to allow you to quickly and easily attach and detach from a connection point, so that you're not tying the rope around something or looping it around. This is the ratcheting mechanism. Now, the ratcheting mechanism kind of acts like a pulley that has a stop on it and then locks in place, so basically, you just pull this strap really tight, secure your gear in place, and then, that lock inside this housing is going to prevent the rope from loosening up. more

Highland Ratchet Tie Down Review- Video

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Highland 14 foot ratchet strap tie down rated at 1,500 pounds, part number 11705. This Highland ratchet strap is a great utility when loading up cargo carriers, maybe securing ATVs or any other large cargo, maybe in the back of your pick up truck. You can see that here we have a whole bunch of our camping equipment and luggage loaded up in a cargo carrier. The Highland ratchet strap don't provide a lot of protection when securing our gear. Today we are going to review part number Em34422. These are the Ericson Retractable Ratcheting Tie Down Straps. This comes as a quantity of two and it does include the mounting bolts. This is a heavy duty retractable ratchet strap which will make it easy to secure your load, right here this red button is a push button release which allows for simple rapid unloading. Basically with this handle all the way in the full down position you can pull out as much strap as you need and then if you just push this button you will see that it will retract it very quickly. The unused strap will retract into the housing for convenient storage and it keeps the strap from flapping in the wind. You will notice on the handle that it does have a rubber coating on the ratchet handle that provides a good grip.
