Now this specific RAV4 has raised rails so we can use this Malone roof rack. There are some versions or trim levels of the RAV4 that have a naked roof and no rails and that's gonna need a custom fit kit. We have this version here that is the black crossbars if you want that black finish. It's gonna be an entry level roof rack with a surprisingly good amount of features similar to your more premium racks. Now it also has its disadvantages too. So we'll talk about the pros, we'll talk about the cons right here at etrailer. So whenever any of my friends asks me, "Hey, what's a quick and easy way to carry around the roof box, or some kayaks, or maybe a roof basket, or even a roof-mounted bike rack" And if they have raised rails, this would actually be one of the first roof racks that I would recommend because it's entry level, it's an affordable roof rack, but it also is a universal fit. more

If you're planning on carrying around some fun accessories like a rooftop box or a basket or maybe some kayaks, what you first need is a roof rack system, and for your Nissan Sentra, yes, there are options for you. Now, this Yakima system is unique in that it does have a little bit more of an involved process. It does take longer to install, but the results are that it gives you more crossbar spread, meaning more space or more surface area for your cargo. Hey everybody, Cooper here from etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at our Rhino Rack Roof Rack system on our 2022 GMC Terrain. Now this kit is going to come in two pieces, the first one being our Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars, and the second one being our SX Series Legs that are going to attach to our vehicle and hold those crossbars into place. Now if you're gonna wanna carry around some of those bigger items like kayaks, skis, maybe snowboards, your first thing you're going to need is a roof rack like we have here today. Or, if your car's filled with people and you need some additional storage, having a roof-mounted storage box would be a perfect opportunity for something like this. We are weight rated to hold up to 165 pounds on our roof rack, but do just keep in mind that our rails and the roof are going to have their own separate weight ratings, and you always wanna make sure you go by the lowest component, that way you're not overloading any of those down. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Yakima Roof Rack system which we'll take a look at on our 2021 Nissan Rogue. If you wanna carry around fun accessories like kayaks or ladders, or maybe you want a roof-mounted bike rack or extra cargo space in the form of a roof box, what you first need is a roof rack system. So this is the system from Yakima, which is ideal for if you want a premium roof rack that is strong, it's sturdy but it also gives you extra long crossbars spread. Compared to other brands, this gives you a wider platform with your crossbar staying further apart so you can carry those longer items like kayaks, ladders or even Christmas trees if you want. For your Rogue's roof, you wanna make sure there's enough clearance underneath for clamps or U-bolts and wing nuts. Here from our roof to bottom of the crossbar I have it at three inches of clearance and then the height addage to the top of our roof at the top of the crossbar is gonna be four inches of height. more

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a real quick look at this fit kit for your Thule Evo Fixpoint and Edge Fixpoint roof rack feet. These custom fit clips and pads are going to let you mount your Evo fix point or edge fixed point feet on your vehicle with fixed mounting points and the feet are sold separately from this kit. And as you can see with this clip and pad, I do have it loosely assembled with the included hardware just to give you an idea how it will all go together and this will be an easy installation. And what's nice about this kit, is that no drilling is required. You're just going to remove your factory side rail plates and install the fit kit pads with the included hardware then slide the molded rubber pads to protect the surface of your vehicle from scratches. And especially comparing this to other options for your car like a hitch, the Spark doesn't have many options in the world of hitches. How's it going everyone Today we are going to be taking a look at the Yakima JetStream roof rack system, installing it and explaining how it works on our 2021 Ford F-150. So, with the F-150 we have a good amount of bed storage, but if you want to get some longer or larger items, like say a kayak, or maybe you want to use this in conjunction with like a ladder rack system to get some longer loads up on top of your roof, this is gonna be a great option to do so. So, let's take a closer look at how it works. As far as the weight capacity goes of our roof rack system, it is really robust, but you want to keep a couple things in mind, that being the fact that the system itself has a weight, the accessories that you're gonna put on 'em. Also we're going to add to that, and your roof is going to be rated for a specific weight as well. Make sure you check the owner's manual in your case, find out what that weight rating is and make sure that all of the components, including the roof rack and the accessories don't exceed that limit. more

If you wanna carry around some fun accessories like bikes because you don't have a hitch on your vehicle or you also wanna carry around maybe kayaks or roof boxes for extra cargo space, what you first need is a roof rack system. So there are a couple fits for your vehicle but this is gonna be the Yakima roof rack which is ideal if you want something super sturdy, gives you more crossbar spread and is great if you wanna carry around longer items and as a roof rack that stays on your vehicle for a longer period of time. I have the 50 inch long JetStream crossbars here. This is the length recommended by Yakima and if you want to, you can get longer and or slightly shorter crossbar. I actually recommend this length as well because it gives you some overhang but not too much. more

Hey, if your Jeep Cherokee has the raised rails on it and you wanna utilize the space up here, then take a look at Rhino-Rack's Roof Rack, this is going on our 2020 Jeep Cherokee. So let's take a closer look at the roof racks here. First things, right off the bat, there's some nice aerodynamic shape, these are gonna be pretty quiet up on top of your Jeep here. You have an anti-theft key that comes with it, and this endcap will remove, that's how you install them and uninstall them. Also, if you have T-track accessories, these are already outfitted, ready and waiting for those accessories, this rubber rail up on top, you would just cut that to fit your particular accessory. more

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at the SightClip Fit Kit for the Yakima SightLine and RidgeLine Roof Rack Towers. These custom fit clips and pads are going to allow you to mount four SightLine or RidgeLine towers on your vehicle with flush factory side rails. And of course, those towers are sold separately from this kit and the clips are going to be very easy to install. You're simply going to attach them to the drop hooks inside of your towers and once the clips are installed you're just going to sit the towers on top of your flush rails and tighten them down. The inner and outer clips in each tower tighten with a single bolt to ensure an even secure grip on your rails. The powder coated stainless steel clips are durable and rust resistant. more

So when you do have these Monkey Bars on your roof you can take a look at where to put them on your BMW. So I have them vacuum mounted here a little bit towards the back. That way one goes on the window and the other cup goes on the actual roof. And then in the back you can see how it fits over our shark's fin in the back. So you don't have to worry about not making clearance there, there is clearance. more

Hey, it's Ethan and here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the SeaSucker Monkey Bar Roof Rack System on our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. First thing, we already have our front set up, so we're just gonna be showing you the rear one, but the process is gonna be the same. Make sure you have the dual cup one in the front. Also we're gonna start by cleaning off our roof, just soapy water, anything like that to get that dust and debris off the top so we have a nice firm hold. And we're gonna take off these plastic caps, so we make sure you keep them around 'cause we will have to put them back on anytime we take these off. more

With the Edge here, we don't have any sort of raised rails, any sort of flush rails, but if we do want to get anything longer or larger like rooftop accessories, whether that be kayaks, roof boxes, baskets, skiing/snowboard carriers, anything like that up onto our roof, we're first gonna need a roof rack system. So the process if we're getting it on this roof can be a little bit tricky, but we'll walk you through that. when we get to the install section, This is just gonna be a look at how that system fits on this car.
