Your chains are the V-bar style and it has to do with these v-shaped teeth that are gonna be on top of your twisted links. What that does for you, it bites more so into the ground or ice or mud to give you additional traction. These particular chains are for on road use. As far as your clearance back here, it's a lot of space. I can fit my entire hand between the wheel and the the back here for your suspension, you just definitely wanna make sure you check your owner's manual as far as your tire size and what is allowed for your vehicle. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Pewag Square link Grooved Tire Chains on our 2022 Nissan Armada. Starting with the link on these guys, they're a groove that are gonna be in inside of each one of your square links. Pewag brands that as the star wave and essentially what it does, it allows you to get a little bit of space to bite into ice when you're going down the road. They're configured in the ladder pattern. What the ladder pattern usually is gonna work for is going down straightaway, straight shots, not so much for windy roads, but nonetheless you'll still have a lot of traction more so than just the wheel on its own. They're made, the links on the chain themselves are made of a nickel-manganese-steel alloy that's hardened and it's also gonna bite into ice better and prevent corrosion. more

Hi, Matt with Etrailer, and today when we talk about the Titan Chain's assisted tire chains on our 2023 Chevrolet Blazer, and today we're gonna have 'em on our front axle as per what the manual recommends, and our tire size is gonna be 235, 65, R18. Now, the first thing I'd recommend doing is when you do get your tire chains is just kinda laying them out, maybe in your garage or a flat surface, or something dry. You don't wanna learn how to put on tire chains when you're out on the side of the road, and there's a blizzard coming by. That's gonna be not the best learning experience, and when you do have 'em out, just kind of check 'em over, make sure there's no damages to your links, and nothing's twisted up, and we wanna make sure this is in the right orientation, making sure these hooks are facing down on the ground. 'cause when we put 'em on here, they're gonna face up and away from our tires. You also wanna make sure this is facing the correct way, making sure that these yellow links are facing away from your vehicle, and this gray cord is facing towards your vehicle, and make sure this is kinda split down the center, so we can put it behind on either side. more

Nothing icy, snowy, because you don't wanna learn how to install these when you're on the road with a lot of ice and snow. Once you're in that nice environment, I just recommend checking over your chains, make sure there's no damages to them and nothing's twisted up. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Titan Chain's tire chains on the 2023 Ford Expedition MAX. We're gonna have 'em on our rear axle, and our tire size today is gonna be 275/55R20. These are gonna be a great set of chains if you just need to get through anything that's just light snow or if you just need them for just-in-case moments, or if you're in a state where you are required to have chains, but you really don't need chains too often. Taking a closer look at the links themselves, we're gonna have these cables, and they're gonna have these roller links on top of them that's gonna help 'em sit a lot closer to your tire. That's gonna make 'em class-S compatible, giving you plenty of room back here so it won't hit anything. more

Now these are gonna be on our tires that are 235/65 R17 and they're gonna be on our front axles as per what our manual recommends. But if yours says something else, I'd go with that. Now, in my personal opinion, I think this is gonna be kind of a loose fit for these tires, but if you get a tire tensioner, I think that's gonna help reduce a lot of that looseness. Now if you look down here, it's still gonna be pretty loose. more
