Hollywood Racks Traveler Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 GMC Acadia- Video
Today on our 2015 GMC Acadia, we will be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler Tilting 4 Bike Rack, that's part number HR8500. This can be used for 1 1/4 or 2 inch hitches. We can go ahead and begin by inserting our shank into our receiver, we'll go ahead and line our pin holes up. All right once we get those lined up, we'll go ahead and take our anti rattle bolt, go ahead and start threading that through, get that hand tightened, we'll go ahead and take our socket wrench and finish that the rest of the way down and by tightening this, it's going to help reduce the play and the rattle within our hitch and our bike rack make for a nice tight fit as you could see there. We put our clip on and we can take a few measurements. Starting with our nearest point it's going to be right here to our bumper it looks to be right about an inch away from here to here. Overall we've added about 8 1/2 inches to our vehicle and for our ground clearance we are looking at about 16 1/2 inches right here. more

There, once we get those lined up, we can go ahead and take our anti-rattle bolt, go ahead and thread that through. Once we get that threaded through, we can go ahead and tighten that down with our socket wrench. By tightening this, it's going to help reduce the play and the rattle within our hitch and our bike rack. more

Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain we're going to be test fitting the Thule Helium Aero, a tilting 2 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number TH9042. We'll now line up our pin hole, allow the attached pin to drop in, and turn the black knob located on the left side. This will engage our anti-rattle device and further secure the rack to our vehicle. In this position we have about 12-1/4" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 1-3/4" away. Overall we've added about 17" to the length of the car. more

Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain we're going to be test fitting the Softride Element Parallelogram, a tilting 4-bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches with part number SR26248. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. In this position we'll have about 12 and a quarter inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle's about three and an half inches away, and overall we've added about 12 and a quarter inches to the length of the car. Pulling the two silver pins at the top of the mast will allow us to swing out our dual cradle arms. We'll rotate them into position and reinsert the pins to hold them in place. With our arms extended we've added about 27 and a half inches to the Terrain. We're now ready to load our bike. We'll begin by undoing our cradle straps. more

To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pinholes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. We'll then secure it using the provided lock. In this position we have about 12 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle's about six inches away and overall we've added about 37 inches to the length of the car. A great feature of the Dura Parallelogram is its removable cradle arms. By simply pushing the black levers located on the rear of the rack we can pull out our arms. With our arms removed we've only added about 15 inches to the length of the car. To replace our arms we'll simply push them in place until we hear them click. more

In this position, we have about 12-1/4 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 5-1/4 inches. Overall weve added about 13-1/2 inches to the length of the car. Pulling the yellow T-handle at the base of the rack will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see, this gives us full access into our rear hatch. more

Overall we've added about 29-1/2" to the length of the vehicle. Pulling the silver pin at the base of the rack will allow us to tilt the mast away from our vehicle. As you can see this does give us great access into our rear hatch. more

We're going to be using the hidden hitch ball mount with a 3/4-inch rise and a 2-inch drop. It's part number is 80232, which is not included. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the ball mount into the receiver tube of our hitch. Line up our holes and install our pin and clip. With this configuration, our rack will have a little bit of a wobble to it, side-to-side. We do have anti-rattle devices available. more

Hollywood Racks Traveler Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 GMC Terrain- Video
Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler, a tilting four bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches part number HR8500. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, we'll line up our pinholes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. We can then secure it wit the provided clip. In this position we'll have about 12 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle's about six inches away. Overall we've added about nine and a half inches to the length of the Terrain. Pulling the black pin at the base of the mast will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see, this does gives us full access into our rear hatch. With our mast back in its upright position and our pin reinserted we'll now pull the pin at the top of the mast. This is going to allow us to swing out our dual cradle arms. more

Thule Helium Aero Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2014 GMC Yukon XL- Video
Today on our 2014 GMC Yukon XL, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Helium Aero, a tilting 2 bike rack for inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitches, part number TH9042. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch. As we do this, we're going to hold on to the black attached pin. We'll line up our pin holes, allow the attached pin to fall into the pin hole. We'll then tighten the black knob. This is going to engage our anti-rattle device and further secure the rack to our vehicle. In this position, we have about 22 1/2 inches worth of ground clearance. more

SportRack 3 Bike Rack Review - 2014 GMC Yukon XL- Video
Today on our 2014 GMCC Yukon XL, we're going to be test fitting the Sportrack tilting 3-bike rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number SR2403. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it down with a wrench. We'll then secure it using the provided clip. In this position, we have about 20-1/2" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 5" away, and overall, we've added about 13-1/2" to the length of the Yukon. Pulling the black pin and clip at the base of the mast will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see, this gives us great access into our cargo area. With our mast back in it's upright position, and pin reinserted, we'll now pull the pin and clip at the top of the mast. more

Softride Dura Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2014 GMC Yukon XL- Video
Today on our 2014 GMC Yukon XL we're going to be test fitting the Softride Dura Parallelogram, a tilting 4-bike rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number SR26247. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it down with a wrench. We'll then secure it using the provided lock. In this position we have about 21-1/4" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our Yukon's about 7" away and overall we've added about 39" to the length of our SUV. A great feature of the Dura Parallelogram is the removable cradle arms. To remove the arms we'll simply push over on the small black tabs located on the front of the rack and slide them out of the rear. more

Hollywood Racks Traveler Tow n Go Bike Rack Review - 2014 GMC Yukon XL- Video
Today on our 2014 GMC Yukon XL we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Rack's Traveler Tow-N-Go, a three bike rack for two inch ball mounts, part number HR135. For today's test fit we've mounted the Traveler on a Hidden Hitch Extra Long Shank Ball Mount, part number 80232. It is sold separately. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the ball mount into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pinholes, slide through a pin, and secure it with a clip. As you can see this does leave a lot of play in our bike rack. We have anti-rattle devices available on our website. more

SportRack Super EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 GMC Terrain- Video
Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain, we're going to be test fitting the Sportrack Super EZ platform-style 2 bike rack for 1 1/4 and 2 inch hitches, part number SR2901LR. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our head. We'll line up our pinholes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down with a wrench. We'll then secure it with the provided lock. In this position, we have about 15 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 8 1/2 inches away. Overall, we've added about 24 1/2 inches to the length of the Terrain. more

Yakima StickUp 2 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 GMC Terrain- Video
Today, on our 2013 GMC Terrain, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima StickUp, a folding and tilting two-bike rack for 1-1/4-inch and 2-inch hitches, part number Y02420. To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. Well line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it with a wrench. We can then secure it with the provided clip. In this position, well have about 12-1/2 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 2-3/4 quarters of an inch away. And overall, we've added about 9 inches to the length of the Terrain. Pulling the red knob located on the left side of the rack will allow us to tilt it into its platform position. In this position, we have about 18-1/2 inches worth of ground clearance here at the rear. more

The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicles about 6-1/2 inches away and overall, weve added about 15-1/2 inches to the length of the Terrain.Pulling the gold pin located at the base of the mast will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see, this gives us great access into the rear hatch. With our mast back in its upright position and the pin reinserted, well now pull the pin at the top of the mast. more

To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of our bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, well then thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it down with a wrench. With our rack in this position, we have about 12 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of our rack to the back of our vehicle is about 3-1/4 inches away, and overall weve added about 11-3/4 inches to the length of the car. Pulling the grey lever located at the base of the mast will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see, this gives us great access into our rear hatch.With our mast back in its upright position, well now pull the grey lever located at the top of the mast. more

Kuat Sherpa Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 GMC Yukon XL- Video
Today, on our 2013 GMC Yukon XL, we'll be testing the Kuat Sherpa Aluminun Hitch Mounted Two-Bike Carrier with Wheel Mount Cradles, part number S102. Using the included two inch adapter, well slide the bike rack shank into the hitch. Line up the hitch pin hole and insert our hitch pin. Well then move to the back of the shank, we will turn the knob tightening down the anti-rattle device, securing the bike rack to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and go over a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the bike rack with the platform in the stored position, measures 23 inches. more
