Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2018 Ram 2500, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs for the rear axle. But before we do that, why don't we check them out and make sure that they're something that's gonna work for you. So, before we get started here, what we'd like to do is just kind of a before and after. You know, that way, we can kinda compare how the bags are going to affect our truck's suspension and things like that. So, what we're gonna do first is just kinda get a baseline and we're gonna take a measurement of where our truck's ride height is at, with the factory suspension and no weight in the bed of it. more

Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2018 Ram 2500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 Air Spring Kit. Many of today's newer trucks ride more like luxury vehicles as opposed to the old days where they rode like farm trucks. Well, that's a nice ride that we want to maintain, especially whenever we're carrying a heavy load and that's what the airbags are going to accomplish. Whenever we're weighted down, they're actually going to be able to bring our truck back to that normal ride height, helping our suspension out to achieve that smooth ride.So to give you a good idea of what the airbags are going to do for you, we're going to go ahead and take some measurements. Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com. Today, you're going to be taking a look at the Firestone Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs for the Rear Axle on our 2018 Ram 2500. The need for airbags comes in whenever you have a heavy load in the back of your truck, or if you're towing a heavy trailer. Now, our Ram specifically has coil springs in the back which, when we're unloaded, gives us a really comfortable ride. But as soon as we start putting a lot of gear, a trailer back here, anything we start weighing it down, the back end is really going to start squatting. Once that happens, it's putting a lot of strain and stress on our rear suspension, and our ride quality is going to suffer quite a bit as well. more

Best 2018 Ram 2500 Suspension Enhancement Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Ram 2500 we're going to be taking a look at the best suspension upgrades for the rear axle. Now the three best options we have in no real particular order are going to be our Timbren. This is part number TDR2500D. Here we've got a Firestone Air Bag, part number F2580, and an Air Lift air bag. Part number on that is AL88289.Now the need for rear suspension upgrades comes when you're going to be hauling, whether it's a trailer or in-bed camper, you're doing landscaping. Whatever the situation is, the one thing you really need to keep in mind, regardless of the rear suspension enhancement that you do, you're not upgrading the capacity of your current vehicle. more
