Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Installation - 2016 Ram 2500- Video

Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2016 Ram 2500 we're gonna be showing you how to install the Timbren rear suspension enhancement. Before we get into that, though, let's just take a couple of minutes, do a couple tests, check these out and make sure they're gonna work for you. So one of the things that we like to do is some before and after. That way we can compare our suspension enhancement to our factory suspension and really see if it makes a difference. So right now before we put the Timbrens on, we have our factory suspension and I put a decent amount of weight in the bed of the truck, about 200 gallons of water. more

Best 2016 Ram 2500 Suspension Enhancement Options- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Ram 2500 we're going to be taking a look at the best suspension upgrades for the rear axle. Now the three best options we have in no real particular order are going to be our Timbren. This is part number TDR2500D. Here we've got a Firestone Air Bag, part number F2580, and an Air Lift air bag. Part number on that is AL88289.Now the need for rear suspension upgrades comes when you're going to be hauling, whether it's a trailer or in-bed camper, you're doing landscaping. Whatever the situation is, the one thing you really need to keep in mind, regardless of the rear suspension enhancement that you do, you're not upgrading the capacity of your current vehicle. more

Firestone Ride-Rite Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2016 Ram 2500- Video

Today on our 2016 Ram 2500, we're going to show you how to install the Firestone Ride Rite Double Convoluted Air Helper Springs for the rear axle. The part number is F2580. Now before we begin our installation, we're going to get a couple of measurements here inside the rear wheel well and the front wheel wells, so we have them for reference. It looks like we're right at about 43 1/2 here on the back and about 40 1/4 here in the front. Now we've loaded about 175 gallons of water in the back here, just to simulate either 5th wheel or gooseneck weight here, or a trailer load on the back and let's see what we've got now as far as measurements. It's like we're down here about 2 inches to 41 1/2 and we've come up about 1/4 inch here in the front to 40 1/2. All right, we got the same load in the back of the truck now, just a bit more wet out here this afternoon, so we're going to use our inflater here. more

Today on our 2016 Ram 2500 we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper springs. These are for the rear axle. The part number is AL57289. The really cool thing about the airbag system is that we run independent lines to each airbag. This is going to give us great side-to-side adjustability. I know we always try to make things even, we always try to get it to where our load's nice and level, but it's just not always the case. more
