Thule Truck Bed Bike Racks Review - 2008 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado we're doing a test-fit of the Thule GateMate Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack, that part number is TH824. This is designed to work with full-sized trucks, so we already have it placed on our vehicle. All we had to do was set it just over the edge here, and make sure that our bumpers on each end are facing up. What that's going to do is prevent anything from sliding off of your tailgate pad. The next thing we'll do is open up our hook and loop cover here, and we're just going to open the tailgate. I find this is the easiest way because I am too short to reach over the top of the tailgate to feed my straps though. I'm just going to straighten my strap out and feed it through underneath into the crack here between the tailgate and the bed of the truck. more
