Shane: Hey there, Shane here at etrailer.com. Today I'm going to be going over the best hitch options for your 2011 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen. Adding a hitch to your Jetta is going to allow you to make more room inside the vehicle. But on a cargo carrier, you can move items from inside to the outside onto the cargo carrier to make more room for your passengers.Bike rack, it's going to keep you from having to load the bikes inside the car, or potentially having to lift them and put them on a roof-mounted bike rack. Here on top, we're going to have the EcoHitch, here in the center, we're going to have the Curt, here on the bottom we're going to have the Draw-Tite. Out of these three, I would go with the EcoHitch, for a couple of reasons, we're going to have a two-inch by two-inch receiver tube opening but with the Curt and Draw-Tite, it's only an inch and a quarter. more

Today on this 2011 Volkswagen Jetta Sport Wagon were going to install part number 11072. Heres what the hitch looks like when its installed on a vehicle. Next well give you some measurements thatll help you out when selecting some accessories for a new hitch such as a bike rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground is going to be about 11 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper will be about 5 inches. Today on this 2001 Volkswagen Jetta Sport Wagon were going to install part number 24866, from Draw-Tite. This is what the hitch looks like once its installed on the vehicle. Next well give you some measurements to help you out when selecting accessories such as a bike rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 10 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 4 inch.
